Abduction Attempt: The Mundrabilla UFO Incident

The Mundrabilla, Australia UFO incident of January 21, 1988 received a huge amount of media publicity. The Knowles family described how the UFO shot over their car and lifted it off the road. Their voices changed in pitch, the family dog in the car went crazy, and the car started shaking. The news media described the incident as a 'UFO attack' and reported that the car was covered by strange dust:

The Knowles Family Incident

January 20 1988 was the day that the Knowles family and their two dogs had an unexplainable experience whilst travelling across the Nullarbor Plain in the early hours of the morning.

At about 4.00am, Faye Knowles and her sons Patrick, 24, Sean, 21, and Wayne 18 were between Madura and Mundrabilla with Sean driving and Patrick next to him in the front seat when a bright light was seen ahead of them. Sean thought the light strange and asked his brother if he thought it was a spaceship. This idea was rejected by his brother, but Sean’s interest was piqued and he sped the car up in order to catch up to the object and get a closer look. At about 20 metres from the object the family say they were confronted with a white blinding light that moved along in front of their moving vehicle. It was about 1 metre wide and described as a slightly angular egg in an egg-cup shape with a yellow centre. The object, which at first appeared to be either on the ground or immediately above it then began to move back and forth. Sean swerved the car to the opposite side of the road to avoid a collision with the object, but then nearly collided with a station wagon towing a caravan coming in the other direction. (The occupants of this second car have never come forward) The object then circled around to the right side of their car and appeared to give chase to the second vehicle towing the caravan. The Knowles made at 2 u-turns at this point, the first to give chase to the object, and the second to abandon this idea as they had grown frightened. They had at this point gained the idea that the object was after them.

At some point the family felt that the UFO had returned and had landed on their vehicle. They heard a clunking sound and felt that the car was being pushed down by a weight that rested on top of it.

By now the family was understandably frightened, and the following events are difficult to unravel in retrospect. The family believed that the car was lifted above the road, though none of them were able to estimate for how long or how high. Mrs Knowles wound down a rear window and reached for the roof. She felt something soft and rubbery that was hot but did not burn her hand, and when she brought her hand back into the car she found it covered in a blackish dust. This event caused a panic in the rest of the family. Patrick wound down his window, only to be covered in the fine dust, which was accompanied by a foul smell that was likened to dead bodies. A high-pitched sound was then heard, which sent the dogs into a frenzy. The family became disoriented and felt that their voices had become slower, and lower in pitch. They believed at this point that they were going to die. Patrick said that he felt that his ‘brain was being sucked out’, and Mrs Knowles likened it to having something ‘going into our heads’.

A while later, the family felt the car forced back down onto the road, bursting the rear right tyre. Sean brought the car to a sudden stop and then blacked out. The family left the car hurriedly and hid in some bushes by the side of the road. They remained there for 15 minutes before changing the tyre and continuing on to the nearest town.

Unknown to the Knowles’, a truck driver, Mr Graham Henley also saw, at the same time and in the same area, a strange light in his rear view mirror. He described as being like a strong spotlight and like a ‘big fried egg hung upside down”. He kept the object in view for 5 minutes and did not see any car headlights beneath it. Shortly after Henley pulled into Mundrabilla, he saw the Knowles’ car arrive, and was confronted by the frightened family all trying to describe their experience. He looked over their car and confirmed the presence of black ash in various areas, both inside and on the exterior of the vehicle, and likened it to fine silicon sand with a burnt odour to it. He also noted four indents in the roof of the car and the damaged tyre. Henley and two of his friends also surveyed the scene of the incident, finding skid marks, footprints and tread tracks that they felt confirmed the Knowles account of their incident.

The family had by this time arrived at Ceduna and been interviewed by the police there, who confirmed that the family were visibly shaken. They also reconfirmed the presence of the four dents and the fine dust. UFO Research South Australia was contacted and arrangements were made for the Knowles’ to continue to Adelaide for further investigation. Keith Basterfield was at this stage brought into the investigation, and he stated that it “appeared to be an extraordinary example of a close encounter that had left physical traces.” However, owing to the story reaching the media, serious investigation became obstructed by chequebook journalism, with investigators needing to mediate with a television station to be able to talk to the Knowles’. The TV station did, however, commission a laboratory investigation of the vehicle, which concluded that ‘no significant dust was observed on the vehicle as presented for inspection’. Ufo researchers did manage to obtain samples themselves, which they forwarded to Dr Richard Haines, a NASA scientist at the time, who concluded that the dust taken from the interior of the car was different to the dust sampled from the exterior. Further tests by different analysts have provided no evidence of it being alien or unusual.

Unfortunately none of this is conclusive. There were other UFO reports in the same area at the same time, which tends to imply that something unusual occurred. The only conclusion we can safely come to though, is that something happened, and that the family witnessed an unusual light and were extremely frightened by its effects. Mrs Knowles and her there sons were driving form Perth to wards Mundrabilla when they saw lights ahead of them on the road. As they approached they realized that they were hovering above the ground just off the main road and indeed hovering over another vehicle.

They turned of the main road and chased back towards where the sighting had occurred; unfortunately, the light changed its course and came back to meet them. They met when something making an audible noise landed on the roof of their car.

The car was apparently dragged upwards and there was some consternation and agitation amongst the witness. Suddenly the vehicle was dropped back to the ground where it burst one of its tyres; where the object had been attached there was damage on the roof. Once the car was back on the ground their family leapt out and hid in the bushes until the UFO had gone. From their observation they described the object as a white light about the size as their car, making a sound like electrical humming.

Thoughout the incident the radio of the car had been malfunctioning though subsequent investigations by Paul Norman of VUFORS indicated that it was undamaged. Examination of the tyre indicated that it was ripped in the most extraordinary way all around its edge.

Nullarbor Is A Black Hole For Tracking UFOs

SCIENCE may be able to give us satellites which can read a newspaper in Red Square from outer space, but the Nullarbor Plain is a veritable black hole for bright, shiny UFOs.

Not one of the sophisticated satellites or radars which dot Australia is pointed at the poor old empty Nullarbor.

* The RAAF air defence radar tracking stations at Williamtown near Darwin and at Brisbane did not pick up anything unusual last week, but the Nullarbor is way beyond their range. The new over-the-horizon Jindalee tracking system is not yet in operation, but it looks north anyway.

* The civil air traffic controls at Adelaide and Perth airports have a range of 150 nautical miles and do not stretch to the Nullarbor. They would pick up a flying metal object within their range, but do not have the capacity to identify non-metal flying objects.

* Willem Bouma of the CSIRO Division of Atmospheric Research said its satellite pictures of Australia had a resolution of one square kilometre so a UFO would have to be very big to be seen.

* Telecom monitors lightning strikes through directional antennae in most areas of Australia. Unfortunately it does not monitor the Nullarbor Plain.

* Spokesman Ian Prime at the hush-hush top secret Pine Gap joint defence facility near Alice Springs said the first they heard of the UFO was when they read about it in the papers. Asked if Pine Gap were capable of picking up UFOs on the Nullarbor, Mr Prime said he could not comment.

* Tidbinbilla deep space communications complex near Canberra tracks orbiting satellites and looks into deep space, but it couldn't spot a UFO if it was hovering over Sydney Opera House.

* Mt Stromlo observatory can see thousands of millions of miles into space, but astronomers saw nothing unusual on Wednesday. Astronomer Paul Hardy has been looking into space for 32 years and says he has never seen a UFO.

* THEORY 1: THE crew of a tuna boat off Port Lincoln also reported seeing a strange light , but it is not clear whether they reported this before or after the Knowles' story was reported on radio. The case is peculiar for the number of witnesses - four in the car, and reported sightings by other people on the road and the fishermen off Port Lincoln, who also reported seeing strange lights. Evidence includes the black dust on the car and dents on the roof, where the Knowles family claim the UFO picked up their car. But sceptics note the shape of UFOs has changed. Twenty years ago, they had portholes and usually rotated. Funnily enough, they looked just like the saucers Hollywood was churning out in its cheap special effects science fiction films. These days people report seeing bright shiny lights that move around in the air, indistinct things that hover and zip around. Funnily enough, they look just like the UFOs Hollywood is churning out with its expensive special effects science fiction films.

* THEORY 2: THE Knowles family was driving towards the early morning sun. It is possible in certain conditions for light to be refracted vast distances so the sun or car headlights appear to be hovering spaceships. The dust, the banging on the roof and the feeling they were being lifted off the ground could have been the car tipping over, out of control, and landing back on its wheels as the driver tried to out-race the mirage. In their panic, the family confused the events. It is understood they had been driving all night from Perth and were tired.

* THEORY 3: IT IS possible for a small, highly-charged pocket of air to turn into a mini-electrical storm. The air becomes an electrical field and the effects can be startling - engines cutting out, strange lights, shaking of the car and even the ash could be explained by such natural phenomena. Ball lightning, bright electrical balls that race around, are a recognised natural phenomena, but little understood.

* THEORY 4: IT MIGHT have been a meteorite which broke up above them. A piece of it hit their car along with a shock wave which forced the car hard down on the road. This would explain the sighting reported by the fishermen and the strange dust. Similar Event on the Same Night

On January 20th, 1988, the same night as the Knowles family experience examined in Part 1 and Part 2 of this article, a Tasmanian man and his girlfriend travelled along the Eyre Highway. At a point somewhere between Penong and Ceduna, the man heard a loud thump directly above their vehicle.

"At first I thought it was the gas bottle on top of the car, but there's no way it could come off because it's screwed down", the witness stated. For the next fifteen minutes, he saw numerous bright white lights shooting earthwards from the sky. Amazingly, his girlfriend remained asleep as their car was battered by violent winds which blew items off the roof and bent the aerial over completely. The witness stated that the winds continued for approximately one hour, blowing their vehicle all over the highway."It frightened the living daylights out of me," he stated. Over the years, how many time have you heard about the Colfax, WI UFO? The incident and the photos have been fairly obscure within ufology. But were there multiple witnesses? Who did Wendelle Stevens get the photographs from?

On April 19, 1978, police officer Mark Coltrane was on patrol in the vicinity of Colfax. He then noticed a metalic looking disc raising towards the the sky at a short distance from the parking space. While the object seemed to move towards him, Coltrane picked up his Polaroid camera, came out of the car and snapped some photographs. The object was so close in one of the images that it is possible to notice some details of its lower surface.

Colfax, a small town with a thousands of inhabitants in Wisconsin. At midday, Officer Coltrane decided to stop the car to eat something, in a small isolated area. He noted that his radio was emitting crackles.

He then noticed a metallic looking disc raising towards the the sky at a short distance from the parking space.

While the object seemed to move towards him, Coltrane picked up his Polaroid camera, came out of the car and snapped some photographs. The object was so close in one of the images that it is possible to notice some details of its lower surface.

In the second photograph the object is starting to move away.

The total observation lasted a few minutes, the object being being lost from his sight when it accelerated and fled in the distance.

Coltrane, shocked by the sighting, remained in amazement for two hours without saying anything, by fear of being ridiculed when he would have to submit his report to his chiefs. - Wendelle Stevens - UFOs at Close Sight (Ufologie.net)

Other Witnesses?

On Wednesday 19 April 1978, Mr. S. (name witheld (sic) by specific request) and his girlfriend were driving in the vicinity of Tainter Lake, when they decided to stop and attempt some fishing since most of the ice was already thawed.

They found a spot along the shore where they could do some casting. Mr. S. had also brought along an FM portable radio. They had been at this spot for about a half an hour when the radio began picking up interference. It was then that Mr. S. looked up into the sky, thinking an airplane must be going over-head.

At that point the object “appeared” out of the southwest, moving northeast. He and his girlfriend became very excited and frightened. Remembering that they had a camera with them, (an Instamatic) Mr. S. went and got it to take some pictures. He almost dropped it several times trying to get it out of the case. He finally got it out and started to point it at the object when the object suddenly veered off course in their direction and came towards them. They became even more frightened but Mr. S. was determined to get a photograph of the thing!

At that point, the object began to circle them at a high altitude as Mr. S. began taking pictures. The object flew around the area only once and then disappeared into the sunlight. The whole incident lasted about 3 or 4 minutes.

Mr. S. was hesitant about showing anyone the photos because he was afraid of people thinking the wrong thing. He finally sent a UFO lecturer a copy after attending one of his slide lectures on the UFO subject.

Mr. S. was unable to determine the size of the object for lack of reference, or how fast it was moving. He did say, however, that it gave off a “crackling sound” as it passed around them. - Open Minds TV

In December 2009 I came across an abduction incident that occurred in Dubno, Rovno Region, Ukraine in January 2008. Subsequently, the abductee passed a polygraph test. Here is the entire scenario:

34-year old Vladimir Voronezhsky and his wife 29-year old Olga, at the time on maternity leave, were at home with their one and a half year old son Arthur and their daughters 9-year old Vanessa and 8-year old Angelica. Olga asked their daughters to go to a nearby shop. While returning home, both saw an unusual object in the sky, rushed home and told their family that they had seen a “flying star”. Olga told them that most likely it had been a satellite or a plane, but the girls objected and explained that the object had been round with strange white, yellow and red flashing lights around its perimeter. Both girls then drew a picture of what they had seen and despite the fact that they went to different rooms to sketch both drawings were quite similar. The girls then insisted that their parents go outside to look at the sky. Olga and Vladimir saw was a distant hovering object which was very high in the sky over the nearby river. It seemed to move and change shapes. Olga managed to take a photo of the object with her cell phone. The photo only shows a yellow spot or elongated strip with a black background. They finally went back inside, had supper and went to bed.

Around 0200am, Vladimir suddenly awoke and saw that the whole room was lit by a whitish-violet light. He began to wake his wife Olga, telling her that something was illuminating the house but she mumbled something, half asleep and told him that he was just dreaming, so both then continued sleeping. However, the strange light had not only woke Vladimir but their youngest daughter Angelica. A strong orange colored light shone on her face irritating her eyes, the light penetrated the room through a space between the blinds, illuminating the room like daylight. Scared, she ran to wake her mother. Olga woke up and pushed her sleeping husband and in a panic voice told him to look up. He was amazed to see that the ceiling of the room had apparently disappeared or had become totally transparent. Right over them, instead of the ceiling they could see open sky and a huge disk-shaped craft hovering right above.

Vladimir and his wife Olga ran outside their house wearing only their nightgowns. At about 100 meters from the house both could see the hovering disc shaped craft which emitted a strong white-violet luminosity. Terrified, both Olga and Vladimir were unable to move. Everything around them was reflecting the weird light from the UFO. Then Vladimir saw Olga ascending into the air, zooming up in a spiral motion, suddenly able to move he tried to grab her legs, but felt that he had no control over his body. Meanwhile Olga sensed being taken upwards and during that time she couldn’t move her arms or legs and she was nauseous. She was terrified and in apparent shock of what was happening to her. Suddenly both Olga and Vladimir appeared inside a white room without any furniture. The walls of the room were transparent, like glass.

Moments later, both witnessed 12 “living entities”. The humanoids were short---not taller than their oldest daughter Vanessa---all about 1.20m in height. They had three fingers on each hand, large heads with smooth gray skin. Vladimir didn’t notice any mouths, noses or ears on the entities. They wore a kind of completely sealed tight fitting coverall with masks and hoods that covered their bodies. The only detail visible on their faces were large black pupil-less eyes. The shape of their eyes was unusual “unlike the popular image often shown in the films about aliens from space” remarked Vladimir. The entities had no visible legs, and were moving around like “caterpillars”. The impression was that instead of legs, the humanoids had numerous tiny suckers under their long tight fitting suit and gave the impression that they floated. Only one of the aliens was taller from the rest, more than 2 meters in height and stood behind the other small humanoids. He wore a long loose fitting overall and his face was not visible at all.

The short entities approached Olga first, grabbed her moving her to another section of the room, placing her in a deep armchair which remotely resembled a gynecologist’s chair. Once Vladimir saw the aliens taking his wife, he was suddenly able to move and rushed towards Olga, in an attempt to free and defend her, but he suddenly stumbled upon what appeared to be an “invisible wall” or force field. Soon two of the small humanoids approached him. Terrified he asked them, “What’s going on guys?” They answered him telepathically, “Nothing terrible, soon you will be back home” “I am not satisfied with that” answered Vladimir angrily and began pushing the humanoids back, but at that moment two other entities came floating grabbed his arms and legs. However, being a professional wrestler and martial arts expert, Vladimir used several methods of Ushu wrestling to free himself. Incredibly he would kick off the entities from him and they would immediately return at him like a boomerang grabbing him again. The aliens asked him why he resisted, their words sounding straight inside his mind. The aliens would stare straight into his eyes each time they “spoke” to Vladimir; they were neither aggressive nor irritated. The voice inside his head according to Vladimir had no accent or timbre and apparently the aliens spoke in the Ukrainian language and sometimes used the so-called “surzhik” (a mixture of Ukrainian and Russian). Soon the aliens inserted four metallic rods into his chest area apparently paralyzing him completely. From that moment on he was not able to move at all. He could only stand there helplessly and watch the aliens “experiment” on his wife Olga.

The humanoids gestured to Olga to lie down. Looking around she didn’t see or noticed any surgical instrument of any kind around her, but somehow the entities without her noticing had cut performed an incision on her stomach. She sensed the smell of her inner organs, it was an unpleasant feeling. The shocked Olga could see her internal organs, but incredibly felt no pain, quite the contrary only tranquility and relaxation. The aliens seemed to be taking samples from her body and organs and apparently were now using different instruments to study the organs inside her abdomen. Olga had never seen such strange instruments before, she was only able to describe one that looked like a pair of pincers and had three clamps. The alien “doctors” also had three fingers on their hands. After the strange procedures the aliens closed and sewed up her stomach. How have they done this, Olga could not understand, apparently they had used some type of advanced bio-molecular technology, not even a scar remained. Before the abduction Olga had been bothered by stomach pains, and after the abduction she never suffered them again. During the “operation” the aliens talked to her, their voices sounding straight inside her head, they lacked mouths. The humanoids attempted to calm her, asking her how she felt and if she felt any pain. They told her, “We wouldn’t do you any harm; we just want to look”. Olga noticed that they always communicated in a very polite manner.

Apparently the aliens were more interested in communicating with Olga’s husband Vladimir. They explained to him, “The female is the entity in a stage less developed than the male entity”. According to Vladimir the aliens also subjected him to some medical experiments. They pushed an object resembling a pistol inside his head. While they did this he felt no pain. When the medical “tests” were over the aliens accompanied Vladimir, alone, to another separate room to talk to the 2 meter tall humanoid. The smaller humanoids respectfully called the taller humanoid by a word that Vladimir loosely translated as the “Professor”. While communicating with Vladimir if the aliens could not make him understand by the use of words they would in turn use symbols or images that would appear in Vladimir’s mind. For example they explained to Vladimir that their society was like a huge ant colony with everyone of the collective with a strictly defined social role. After Vladimir was brought in front of the “Professor” he asked the entity why they have taken him and his wife. “Why do you need us?” asked Vladimir. The tall humanoid answered “It has to be done” and promised an “excursion” throughout the galaxy as a compensation for the “medical suffering”.

Vladimir remembered that both Olga and he were then placed on large armchairs and that everything around them was transparent. They could easily see the stars and planets around them. For example, the sun looked like a diffused bright spot of light and Earth seemed like a tennis ball. Then he saw a bright blinding flash of light and experienced the feeling of nausea. In the next moment he saw that the spacecraft was now hovering above an unknown planet. After arriving there they stood up and were accompanied to another room, a kind of air lock or dock where the aliens placed them inside smaller craft---sort of cigar shaped “space boats” or modules to travel to the planet. They then separated from the mothership, entered the atmosphere and flew for a short period of time above the surface of the planet. Vladimir noticed what appeared to be holes or open pits on the surface of the planet. It appeared that the dwellers of this planet lived underground, like moles (or ants?), and their strict subsurface society reminded him of a giant hive. The “Professor” told Vladimir that this place was called by humans “Andromeda Nebula” (not clear). From what the tall alien told Vladimir, he understood that the aliens didn’t eat or drink in the usual manner that humans did, but absorb the necessary elements by a more sophisticated universal way. Their mode of life is totally underground. The humans or earthlings were a subject of interest to them because terrestrial people have feelings and emotions that the aliens do not possess. The tall alien also said that humans and cows were brought to earth from another planet.

After returning to the mothership there was another flash of light and more feeling of nausea and they then appeared at another location. Again, over another unknown and different planet. At this point, Vladimir asked how were they able to travel so fast, the tall alien answered that they could not overpass the speed of light so they traveled by tearing space (?) (Worm holes?). Vladimir admitted he wasn’t able to comprehend the concept. After this, one of the smaller humanoids said, “now this human knows too much”, that they couldn’t let him return home, that he was must stay with them or be eliminated. After hearing that telepathically Vladimir became angry and told them that he was not afraid of them that if they would try to kill him he will resist. After that the aliens communicated in a more respectful manner (?).

According to Vladimir, the alien abductors proposed that entered into sexual contact with a female humanoid of their species which had now appeared in the room. This alien woman had an awful appearance. She had a bald head, covered with tight fitting gray greenish skin. The aliens then asked Vladimir, “Where must they place her sexual organs?” (!) “How comfortable would you feel to have sex with her, in such or other position?” This situation became amusing to Vladimir who said, “Sorry guys I cannot have sexual relations with such an alien looking female” The aliens then accompanied their woman to a small round platform, where a column of light unexpectedly appeared. The next moment the alien woman walked out of the platform, now with a quite different shape, she now looked like a very beautiful human woman. However Vladimir couldn’t see her body, something like a white bed sheet had been place over her body area. But her face was very attractive with beautiful dark hair, exactly to Vladimir’s taste. Vladimir realized that the aliens had penetrated deep into his thoughts and had materialized the ideal image of a woman for him. Vladimir enjoyed his new sexual partner’s company, however upon seeing this Olga reacted with extreme jealousy and became hysterical, screaming for the aliens to stop the procedure immediately. The aliens apparently became confused and said, “You humans always mate together sexually, just like that...so what’s the matter?" Olga answered, “No! We don’t just mate. We have feelings and emotions!” Upon seeing his wife’s reactions, Vladimir restrained himself from additional contact.

Both witnesses understood that having such feelings was the central interest of the aliens. The 2 meter tall aliens said, “We do not understand you, why haven’t you, intelligent animals, destroyed yourselves yet? How can you survive with your emotions?” The tall alien then added that their principal task was to teach earthlings about extraterrestrial technology. He said that there was a “space war” going on at this time in the Universe” and he said, “The entity that you call God, has implanted much information into Earth and into the waters of it. Those who are against God want that information destroyed. If the Earth is going to be destroyed, the son of God would arrive to Earth again and will restore everything living it”. This is literally what the tall alien told Vladimir. Vladimir also asked the “Professor” about death, and according to the professor the aliens didn’t fear death because it does not exist, that it was only a transition into a different form of existence.

Vladimir states that during the whole contact experience “nothing amazed him” since he had not time to think about it at the time. Through the transparent surface of the cabin the witnesses could see planet Earth approaching and felt that their spacecraft was slowing down. The couple was then returned back to Earth the very same way they were abducted, first in the smaller module and then the large disc-shaped craft and then through the roof of their home inside a beam of light. Before returning the witnesses the humanoids promised to return in two years (2010).

At 1100 am the next morning Vladimir and his wife Olga awoke not speaking about what had occurred. Olga decided that she was probably going crazy or that it had just been a wild dream or nightmare. Incredibly, Vladimir had exactly the same thoughts in his head. Finally they talked about what had occurred and after analyzing the mutual identical memories they understood, that what had happened had not been a dream but reality. Vladimir phoned his friend in Kiev and was put in contact with researcher Yuriy Stepanov who hypnotically regressed Vladimir in February 2008. Vladimir remembered additional details of his captivity with the aliens. He drew a picture of the disk-shaped craft which had abducted them, with multicolored lights around its circumference with a dome on top and emitting a large column of violet white light which projected from its center. He also drew sketches of the humanoids. He remembered that while in space the object (spacecraft) had been surrounded by a field (layer) of plasma, he understood that this field was able to make the object invisible to the human eye and prevented it from being detected by radars.

The whole family requested extensive medical tests on them to see if the aliens had left behind any implants and to try to find any traces of surgery. Both feel well and by some mysterious manner Vladimir lost his gray hairs and his physical powers of endurance increased after the abduction. Olga was also cured of her chronic colitis and she also gained the ability to make a drunken man sober by placing the palm of her hand on the man’s forehead for 2-3 minutes. However the family soon became the subject of mockeries and sneers by neighbors and strangers and some accused the family of being “drunks”.

According to researcher Stepanov, quoting the Department of Inner Affairs of Ukraine, about 4,000 people go missing in the Ukraine every year and according to his opinion some of these have been taken by UFOs and more than likely willingly.

Commenting on the results of the test and the guest of Vadim Chernobrov:

Notably, in 2009, as part of the documentary film "Caution: UFO" (Studio "07 Production" channel "Іnter", Ukraine), Vladimir Voronezhsky and his wife did not pass a polygraph test. Andrew Volyk, speaking expert polygraph examiner, the survey concluded:

In this case, I'm no surprised as nothing special, extraterrestrial, say, ESP, or extra-human perception I saw. I only saw a few ordinary people wound up, tired of the psyche, and with some its some complexes that exist in every individual...

"According to the polygraph examiner, Olga and Vladimir Voronezh had never been on board a UFO, and their story about their alien abduction — is nothing but a fiction," — is summarized in the documentary Ukrainian TV journalists.

Voronezhsky, Vladimir himself in one of the comments on the website "Ukraine Abnormal" said:

If this were true, then surely I would have agreed to take the test on the detector with a further demonstration of the whole Ukraine and the CIS?

We should also say that Russia's "positive" results of the test subjects themselves very good, despite the fact that in some countries the polygraph is not considered as conclusive proof of the reliability of information on the subject of research (for example, Germany and Poland, the data obtained using the polygraph can not considered as evidence in courts.) - Igor Berezhnoy

Russian Naval Official Claims 'Humanoids' Observed Underwater

The objects were moving through water at over 420km/h, and divers 50 meters deep in a lake saw humanoids in silver suits.

After the British Ministry of Defence published documentation about UFO research a few months ago, the Russia navy followed, writes Russia Today.

I think about underwater bases and say: "Why not? Nothing should be discarded. Skepticism is the easiest way: believe nothing, do nothing. People rarely visit great depths. So it’s very important to analyze what they encounter there."

"The documents have existed since the time of the Soviet Union, and the former navy official responsible for researching UFOs, Vladimir Azhazha, said for Svobodnaya Press that the materials they found are of great value.

"Fifty percent of UFO encounters are connected with oceans. Fifteen more – with lakes. So UFOs tend to stick to the water," said Vladimir Azhazha for RT.

The group which was led by the commander of the Russian navy, Nikolay Smirnov, gathered lots of evidence about unidentified flying objects, which they encountered numerous times.

On one occasion a Russian nuclear submarine, which was on a mission in the Pacific, ran into six unknown objects. After some time, the objects simply took off and disappeared into the air.

The retired Russian submarine commander Admiral Yury Beketov said that he had many encounters with UFOs in the Bermuda Triangle. UFOs most often seen in Caribbean and Bermuda Triangle.

Beketov says that they noticed objects travelling at an incredible 426km/h on radar. This speed is even too fast for travelling on land, and when we take into account the pressure of the water, it seems these objects defy all the laws of physics.

"There is one explanation: the beings that made them have certainly surpassed us," he says. The former Russian intelligence official Igor Barklay says that UFOs were often seen in the Caribbean, in the deepest parts of the ocean.

Besides that, they appeared in the Russian Baikal Lake, known for its great depths. A fisherman witnessed such an object, who says that a strong light came out of the depths, and then the object came out of the water.

During an exercise in 1982, military divers at the Baikal Lake noticed humanoid beings in silver suits at a depth of around fifty metres. They tried to catch them, but did not manage to. - Javno News

An old lady from Petrozavodsk city reported that she had been keeping a frozen alien body in a refrigerator for a couple of years. The alien was found next to the woman’s summer house. The body was said to be 'very hot' and that metal fragments were lying beside it. Before finding the body the lady heard a terrible noise. The creature was 40-50 cm long, had a big head, mouth and orbits. It was also wearing a one-piece garment. Two days ago the lady was visited by some people who confiscated the body for the purpose of its investigation and, according to their words, took it to the Karelian Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. However, employees of the Research Center who were interviewed later said that they had never heard of the discovery. Where was the body taken?

NOTE: I saw one of these images (top photo) approximately 3 years ago...it was forwarded by email from a lady who lived near St.Petersburg who then stated to me that it was given to her by a friend. I attempted to gather further information but hit a dead end. Today, these photos were published in a Russian blog with the narrative posted. What do you think?

Weeks have passed and there are still no definite signs of where the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 could be. A joint search and rescue effort which includes a long list of nations, the largest in history. For the first time, we could possibly have what looks to be the first picture taken from a passenger on Malaysia Flight 370.

On Sunday, Fox Weekly received a news tip from an individual who lives in the U.S. The individual stated that he’s an ‘ex-boyfriend’ of one of the passengers who was on the missing Malaysian flight. The man who only wants to be called “Jake”, dated a 28 year old women who were one of the 227 passengers.

Jake lives in Southern California and is 29 years old. Jake is a salesman is currently in school studying business. Jake shared with us his relationship with the missing passenger, when they were dating back in 2011. Jake told us that he didn’t want to send the image directly to the loved ones of the missing passenger, but also didn’t want to have the image stored in his laptop forever.

“I was checking my Yahoo email and my mind told me to check my Gmail account which I haven’t checked in over 6 months, When I started opening my new messages, I saw one sent from a cell phone. When I opened the image, it was from my ex-girlfriend and I quickly remembered that she was one of the people who boarded the missing Malaysian plane”, Jake told Fox Weekly.

We examined the Flight 370 and found that the aircraft is designed with 3-3-3 seating, including screen monitors on the back of every seat. This will lead us to believe that this image is in fact ‘real’. Jake shared with us his Gmail account and even showed us where the email was sent from and that it was sent just off the coast of Malaysia.

If we lean on this image being the first surfacing from a passenger who boarded Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, when was this taken and why was it taken? Analyzing Jake’s Gmail account, the image was sent to Jake on March 9th, 2014 at 4:35 Pacific time. According to Jake, there is no explanation to why his ex-girlfriend would send him a picture of the flight. “We haven’t talked in a while. The last time we chatted was 5 months ago, besides that, she comments & likes my pictures on Facebook and that’s just it”, Jake says.

“It was really weird to see the image on my email from her”, Jake told Fox Weekly staff.

One theory is that the 28 year-old women passenger had seen trouble inside the plane and decided to send images to all her friends and contact on her email account?

4chan users speculate that the image taken could of been a coincidence or was sent accidently to the wrong person.

MH370 was scheduled to route from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport. The plane remains to be found and the date of the disappearance of the flight was March 8th, 2014. Until the discovery that will close this missing flight case, we will continue to look in satellite images and in the sea for the truth. - Fox Weekly

Dead Aliens or Special-Effects?

As someone who spends a lot of time digging into stories of the distinctly strange kind, I find myself on the receiving end of a lot of correspondence from people that read my articles and books. Very often, people want to share their stories (or those of families and friends). More often than not, this process opens a lot of doors and offers greater insight into the subject at issue – whether the UFO phenomenon, Cryptozoology, or the field of conspiracy-theorizing. Sometimes, however, I find myself on the receiving end of a very different category of story…
That category is, for me at least, quite possibly the most vexing one of all. The reason being that it is filled with great and intriguing stories, but ones that I have never been able to get to the bottom of, and which languish in a realm that might accurately be titled: “Fascinating But Frustrating.” And, so, I thought I would share with you my personal favorite, one that (A) really caught my attention; (B) has eluded every single attempt to resolve it;  but (C) still make me think there is something to it.
In 1997, the U.S. Air Force published a report that suggested the “alien bodies” seen sprawled around the Foster Ranch, Lincoln County, New Mexico in the summer of 1947 were dummies used in parachute experiments. We are, of course, talking about Roswell. But there is another angle to the “alien dummies” saga.

A decade or so ago I spoke with a guy who claimed his grandfather, from the 1930s to the 1960s, worked in the world of Hollywood – specifically in the field of special-effects and model-making for horror and sci-fi movies. The grandfather also had another string to his bow: namely, a connection to the secret world of government. And that same connection surfaced in an intriguing fashion.
In 1945, the acclaimed film-maker Billy Wilder – who died in 2002 – directed the English language version of a documentary called Death Mills, which was produced by the U.S. Department of War’s Psychological Warfare Department. It was a harrowing, but acclaimed, production that graphically revealed the sheer, horrific extent of the Nazi holocaust of the Second World War.
The Pentagon describes psychological warfare as: “The planned use of propaganda and other psychological actions having the primary purpose of influencing the opinions, emotions, attitudes, and behavior of hostile foreign groups in such a way as to support the achievement of national objectives.”
It transpired that plans were afoot for Wilder to make a similar production for the PWD on the atrocities undertaken by Japan’s Unit 731 during the Second World War. It was, however, a documentary that ultimately did not come to fruition. It transpires that my source’s grandfather worked on Death Mills with Wilder and, as a result, came to know some of the PWD personnel.
Almost certainly as a result of his work alongside the PWD on Death Mills, in 1955 the special-effects expert in question was contacted by psychological warfare planners in the U.S. Air Force and offered a lucrative contract: to use his cinematic skills to create what can best be described as faked alien bodies.
Given the time-frame (namely, the mid-1950s), it would be reasonable to expect that the Air Force would want something to reflect the pop-culture of the day: the bug-eyed aliens of This Island Earth variety; the Krell of Forbidden Planet; or the “Martian mutants” of Invaders from Mars. But not so.

The man was asked to design and create exactly eight “alien bodies.” There was just one proviso: they all had to be very life-like, dwarfish, hairless and topped off with huge heads. Reportedly, so the grandson told me, his grandfather was paid very handsomely for approximately three months of work, all of which was undertaken in a specially modified trio of rooms at a military base “in southern California.”
It doesn’t take a genius to guess that the man asked why on earth the Air Force wanted him to fabricate a number of extraterrestrial corpses. He could understand the military taking an interest – and a very deep interest – in real alien bodies, but faked ones constructed by a Hollywood special-effects expert? What was the point? Well, the point, it seems, was a fascinating one.
“Scuttlebutt” and rumor that reached the man’s attention suggested a fantastic operation was at work. In fact, it was an operation that was two-fold in nature. First, there was a bizarre plan for the military to photograph the “bodies,” strategically laid out on gurneys or slabs, and then have the images sent anonymously to the Russian Embassy in Washington, D.C.
Along with the photos would be a long and winding fabricated letter – one supposedly written by a communist sympathizer in the U.S. military, warning the Soviets that the U.S. Government had got its hands on alien bodies and technology.
In other words, it was a strange example of Cold War-era psychological-warfare proportions, an example designed to scare the hell out of the Russians and have them waste their time chasing down what were really non-existent aliens. There was, however, a second part to the story.
There were suspicions, at the time, that at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio, several employees were selling secrets to the Soviets, particularly secrets born out of the work of Wright-Pat’s Foreign Technology Division (FTD). So, a plan was formulated: carefully expose those same commie-loving characters to a couple of “alien bodies,” strategically placed in a vault or bunker, and have them believe Uncle Sam has recovered a crashed UFO, or several, along with their deceased crews.
Then, it was a case of keeping an eagle-eye on all of those under suspicion and see which of them - if any, of course - might be prompted to do something out of the ordinary, such as make a phone call to a man named Ivan, or meet in a local park with a trench-coat-wearing character with a foreign-looking appearance. It was, then, a program designed to ferret out Soviet sympathizers in the military by exposing them to a huge secret that, in reality, was a huge ruse.
Now, as I said at the beginning, I have been unable to prove any of this (the Billy Wilder/Death Mills/Unit 731 issue aside). But, while it all sounds rather bizarre, if you think about it carefully, it also makes a lot of sense. After all, what better way to mess with the Soviets – and to root out dastardly Reds in the United States – than by (a) dangling a startling carrot of the fabricated kind; and (b) reeling in the enemy without any real secrets ever being compromised?
If true, this saga may help explain some of the controversial stories where military personnel have reportedly been exposed to alleged alien bodies in underground rooms (the Hangar 18 legends), and under “convenient” circumstances that many skeptical researchers think are just to good to be true. They just might be. But not for the reasons that the skeptics think.

The reason: the eyewitnesses may have been set-up as a test of their loyalties. It may have been intended all along for them to see the “bodies” (or, more correctly, the dummies). If they kept quiet about what they saw, they were good soldiers and trustworthy. If they told their wives 0or girlfriends, they were potential security risks and perhaps needed to be watched carefully in future. And if they ran to a Soviet handler, it was jail-time.
This, of course, leaves us with a highly thought-provoking question: if the story told above it 100 percent accurate, does that mean all the stories of “alien bodies in the morgue” are born out of this long-gone Cold War operation/deception? Or, does the government have real extraterrestrial corpses on ice, and, if so, is it using the “dummy” angle just to confuse things even more? I wish I knew.
And one final thing for your consideration, something which takes us back to Billy Wilder. In 1970, Wilder’s movie The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes was released. In the movie, the British Government creates a faked Loch Ness Monster to hide the fact that the military is conducting secret submarine tests in the loch. The reason: to keep German spies in the dark regarding what was really afoot.
So, we have one man claiming to have made alien bodies to fool the Soviets and (in a fictional setting) we have a government creating a monster to fool the Germans. There is a Billy Wilder tie to both issues (in the sense that the source of the above-story worked with Wilder, and Wilder himself directed, produced and co-wrote The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes), and both Wilder and the man behind the “alien dummies” ruse worked with the Psychological Warfare Department on Death Mills.
Somewhere, in this convoluted saga, I suspect, there is a big secret just waiting to be uncovered…

Mysteries love theories. Unknown gaps in data call for speculations. We are seeing it happen this weekend.

Malaysia Airlines MH370, a Boeing 777, has gone missing. Airline officials lost contact with the plane, which was carrying 239 passengers, two hours into the Kuala Lumpur-to-Beijing flight, on Saturday, March 8, at 2:40 a.m. local time (18:40 GMT). It is thought it went missing off the coast of Vietnam, but that is pure speculation.

Who was on board? A delegation of painters and calligraphers, a group of Buddhists returning from a religious gathering in Kuala Lumpur, a three-generation family, nine senior travelers and five toddlers.

Most of the 227 passengers on board missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 were Chinese, according to the airline's flight manifest. The 12 missing crew members on the flight that disappeared early Saturday were Malaysian.

Other passengers were from India, Indonesia, Australia, the United States, France, New Zealand, Ukraine, Canada, Russia and the Netherlands, the airline said.

Keller, Texas native, 50-year-old Philip Wood, was on Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 when it disappeared over the Gulf of Thailand in the South China Sea. Philip Wood works as a technical storage executive at IBM Malaysia and was transferred to a job from Beijing to Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, where the flight originated.

Terrorism

A Boeing 777 goes missing on March 7th. 7777.  370-03-07. Is someone playing a numbers twilight game?

Was it terrorism? Two people named on the manifest -- an Austrian and an Italian -- whose passports had been stolen were not aboard the plane. There are questions about a third, Chinese, passport.

Freescale, Motorola, Lear, UFOs

On March 8th, the Austin, Texas-based Freescale Semiconductor confirmed that 20 employees were passengers on Flight 370. Twelve are from Malaysia and eight from China, the company said.

The history of Freescale Semiconductor is intriguing. Freescale was one of the first semiconductor companies in the world, having started as a division of Motorola in Phoenix, Arizona in 1948, according to the company's own historical data. In 1955, a Motorola transistor for car radios was the world’s first commercial high-power transistor. It was also Motorola’s first mass-produced semiconductor device. It was in 2004, a mere decade ago, when it became autonomous by the divestiture of the Semiconductor Products Sector of Motorola.

Motorola? 1948 for this division? In Phoenix? Who came up with the name Motorola? It turns out most credit for the name is given to William "Bill" Lear, in 1930, the investor/inventor who would go on to produce such items as the 8-track music cartridge and the Lear Jet. Perhaps it is only a coincidence that the mystery of UFOs date to such events as Roswell in 1947, in nearby New Mexico. 

Some folks take the notion of "Reverse-Engineering Roswell UFO Technology" very seriously. In that paper, computer company chief Jack Shulman argues that the transistor could never have been invented so suddenly at AT&T in late 1947 without input from top secret Government projects, that some have identified to him as being from alien spacecraft.

And then there is Bill Lear's son, John, who is an accomplished pilot, former CIA operative, and Ufologist. He is noted in the latter field for promoting a variety of conspiracy theories which are based, he claims, on information obtained from military contacts.

Lear is a controversial figure in Ufology, to say the least, for many of his statements.

Lear believes that any number of flying discs 'fell' into our hands when they crashed in the southwest in the late 1940's and early 50's.
Lear's scenario also includes the suspicion that the government has made secret deals with the 'aliens', actually exchanging humans for advanced technological data. Source.

Will we be hearing that aliens are behind the disappearance of Flight 370?

Ooops. I guess some sites are already writing about this form of speculation.

Missing Planes and Sanderson's Vile Vortices

Did Flight 370 vanish off Vietnam into a Devil's Triangle-like area, like the one found off Japan? Who knows, but this is not an area recognized in Fortean literature for such disappearances. Indeed, examining Ivan T. Sanderson's traditional map of "Vile Vortices" around the globe does not show one in this location.

But an airliner is missing, and answers are wanting about what happened.

Other Mysteries

As the search for the aircraft continues, the rescuers are bumping into other mysteries. Take this Sunday, March 9th, CNN report:

'Strange object' not debris from missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 

The mysteries surrounding the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, and the true identities of some of its passengers, are as deep as the South China Sea waters where a multinational search team is searching for the jet.
One promising lead has turned out to be a dead end. A "strange object" spotted by a Singaporean search plane late Sunday afternoon is not debris from the missing jetliner, a U.S. official familiar with the issue told CNN on Sunday.
A U.S. reconnaissance plane "thought it saw something like debris but it was a false alarm," said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

If all those on board Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 are found to have died, it will rank as the deadliest airline disaster since November 12, 2001, when American Airlines Flight 587 crashed into a New York neighborhood, killing all 260 people on board and five more on the ground. Many recall that crash with horror, as it followed so closely after the events of 9/11 in New York City.
