10 Million Dollar Prize: Prove Bigfoot Exists

Spike TV Teams with Lloyd's of London to Offer a Ten Million Dollar Prize to Prove Bigfoot Exists

The network has already begun casting contestants for "10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty," a 10-episode competition series.

New Competitive Reality Show Features Various Teams of Explorers on a Quest to Answer the Question of Whether Bigfoot Truly Lives

New York, NY - October 25, 2012 - Spike TV is raising the stakes in the endless quest to discover the truth about the legendary creature known as Bigfoot, the seemingly mythical being that roams forests of the world, avoiding mankind. The network is announcing a new one-hour reality show, "10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty," featuring ambitious teams of explorers on a brazen exhibition to unearth real evidence of Bigfoot's existence. The $10 million in cash, underwritten by Lloyd's of London, would be the largest cash prize in television history.

"10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty" is produced by Charlie Corwin's Original Media ("Swamp People," "Ink Master") with Corwin, Michael Riley and Emmy(R) Award-winner Jon Kroll ("The Amazing Race," "Big Brother") as Executive Producers. Spike TV has ordered 10 one-hour episodes.

The network has already begun casting contestants for "10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty," which will feature scientists, zoologists, seasoned trackers, and actual Bigfoot hunters who all believe in the infamous creature's existence. The teams will be faced with the daunting task of proving to a group of experts that Bigfoot, the hairy ape-like sasquatch, exists with the irrefutable evidence. The winner will be the first team to secure proof - and win the unprecedented $10 million bounty.

Each episode will follow the different teams as they ply their extensive research and presumed knowledge of the legendary creature, often battling nature's inhospitable conditions.

The series will be shot in various locations throughout the country.

Sharon Levy is Spike TV's Executive Vice President, Original Series, Tim Duffy is Senior Vice President of Original Series for Spike TV, and Chris Rantamaki and Justin Lacob serve as the network's Executives in Charge of Production.

Show updates will become available at

Steven Greer announces he may have an alien corpse

Amazing New Results From Possible ET Body

After many weeks of travel, we are back to report that amazing results have been obtained from our study of the small possible ET body which was discussed in an earlier blog post.

Dr. Bravo, Emery Smith and I traveled to the country that is now home to this small possible ET body and were able to successfully obtain extensive X-Ray and CT Scans of the entire body. We were also able to obtain DNA samples under sterile, surgical conditions. These DNA samples are now being studied by one of the world's top geneticists.

The X-Ray and CT scan show an intact, actual biological humanoid organism, without question. Astonishing 3-D images were able to be constructed of the body from the detailed CT scan, and we were able to see internal organs such as lungs and what I am fairly sure is a heart structure.

These images have just been examined by the world's foremost authority on skeletal abnormalities, dysplasias and fetal skeletal syndromes and he has stated that this being is unlike any known skeletal structure found in humans. We also know that it is not an ancient hominid, and while humanoid, not apparently human.

Both this expert as well as the radiologist who is head of the imaging center where all X-rays and CTs were done have stated that the bone density precludes the body being that of a 20-22 week aborted human fetus. There is just too much calcium in the bone for this being to have been the result of a fetus of that age. Both doctors feel that the being was post-natal at the time of death (that is had lived for some time outside the womb, if indeed a womb is involved...) Messages from the Native People

The facts indicate that the Maya kings and nobles focused more on short-term projects like enriching themselves, building monuments and remaining in power than in predicting the dawning of a new age of good vibrations long after their civilization had collapsed.

Among the important discoveries from the Yucatan ruins is that the Maya had several calendars. One is known as the Long Count calendar, which is reset to day 0 every 1,872,000 days, a period known as The Great Circle. The next reset date, by some calculations, is December 21, 2012.

In Charles Gallenkamp's book Maya The Riddle And Rediscovery Of A Lost Civilization on December 21, 2012, there will be an "alignment between the galactic and solar planes." The winter solstice sun will "conjunct the Milky Way." This is supposed to open up some sort of "cosmic sky portal."

Yeah, OK...that may be, but the world will not end on December 21, 2012 as some interpret the Mayan prophecies. But there are other prophecies that suggest we are on the brink of global change. Let's examine what native people have to say about our world as well as what they have witnessed and what they see on the horizon:

The Hopi Indians (500 BC to the present) say that, “In 2012 the earth will be shaken by an explosion that will rock North and South America”. There have been three previous great cleansings by an asteroid or volcano, the Ice Age and a Great Flood. “The Sacred Ones will arrive via Flying Shield”. This resembles the Book of Enoch where Ezekiel goes up into a “Flying Wheel”. It is also similar to third century Roman writings that described a “fiery shield” crossing the sky. The Hopis perform Kachina dances where their outfits look like space suits with helmets.

There has been other Hopi prophecy that has come true. “We will talk through spider webs” which has been accepted to be phone lines. “We will ride in carriages without horses. Women will wear men’s clothing”.

“In the end, a purifier named Pahana will arrive to destroy evil people. There will be flood, famine and hail storms (similar to the Book of Revelation)”. - 12/21/2012: A Prophecy

Many prophecies foretold by the Hopi appear to have come true. Some of these are:

"The Fourth World shall end soon, and the Fifth World will begin. This the elders everywhere know. The Signs over many years have been fulfilled, and so few are left.

"This is the First Sign: We are told of the coming of the white-skinned men, like Pahana, but not living like Pahana men who took the land that was not theirs. And men who struck their enemies with thunder.

"This is the Second Sign: Our lands will see the coming of spinning wheels filled with voices. In his youth, my father saw this prophecy come true with his eyes -- the white men bringing their families in wagons across the prairies."

"This is the Third Sign: A strange beast like a buffalo but with great long horns, will overrun the land in large numbers. These White Feather saw with his eyes -- the coming of the white men's cattle."

"This is the Fourth Sign: The land will be crossed by snakes of iron."

"This is the Fifth Sign: The land shall be criss-crossed by a giant spider's web."

"This is the Sixth sign: The land shall be criss-crossed with rivers of stone that make pictures in the sun."

"This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it."

"This is the Eight Sign: You will see many youth, who wear their hair long like my people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their ways and wisdom.

"And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.

"These are the Signs that great destruction is coming. The world shall rock to and fro. The white man will battle against other people in other lands -- with those who possessed the first light of wisdom. There will be many columns of smoke and fire such as White Feather has seen the white man make in the deserts not far from here. Only those which come will cause disease and a great dying. - Book of the Hopi

Then there was Dr. Lee Brown the Cherokee speaker at the 1986 Continental Indigenous Council, Tanana Valley, Fairbanks, Alaska:

...The elders advised us that, as things speed up, you yourself should slow down. The faster things go, the slower you go. Because there's going to come a time when the earth is going to be shaken a third time. The Great Spirit has shaken the earth two times: the First and Second World Wars to remind us that we are a human family, to remind us that we should have greeted each other as brothers and sisters. We had a chance after each shaking to come together in a circle that would have brought peace on earth, but we missed that.

Tonight they were talking on the news about the sign for the Third Shaking of the Earth. They said they're going to build what the elders called the house in the sky. In the 1950's they talked about this: they will build a house and throw it in the sky. When you see people living in the sky on a permanent basis, you will know the Great Spirit is about to grab the earth, this time not with one hand, but with both hands. When this house is in the sky, the Great Spirit is going to shake the Earth a third time, and whoever dropped that gourd of ashes, upon them it is going to drop. They say at that time there will be villages in this land so great that when you stand in the villages you will not be able to see out, and in the prophecies these are called villages of stone, or prairies of stone. And they said the stone will grow up from the ground, and you will not be able to see beyond the village. At the center of each and every one of these villages will be Native people, and they will walk as hollow shells upon a prairie of stone. They said hollow shells, which means they will have lost any of their traditional understandings; they will be empty within. They said that, after the Eagle lands on the moon, some of these people will begin to leave these prairies of stone and come home and take up some of the old ways and begin to make themselves reborn, because it's a new day. But many will not. And they said there's going to come a time when in the morning the sun is going to rise, and this village of stone will be there, and in the evening there would just be steam coming from the ground. They will be as steam. And in the center of many of those villages of stone, when they turn to steam, the Native people will turn to steam also because they never woke up and left the village.

They say there's going to be the Third Shaking of the Earth. It's not going to be a good thing to see, but we will survive it. We will survive it. And when we survive it, there's going to be another attempt to make a circle of the human beings on the earth. And this time the Native people will not have to petition to join but will be invited to enter the circle because they say the attitude toward us will have changed by then, and people will let us into the circle, and all the four colors of the four directions will share their wisdom, and there will be a peace on earth. This is coming close.

The following quotes are from two Native American shamans:

I prophesy things that come to pass. God is going to put a judgment on the world. He’s mad. I’m sorry it’s going to happen. He’s not going to destroy the whole world. But every living thing will perish, and it’ll be maybe another million years before a new life begins again. Grandmother Earth will be alone. She’s going to rest. All because of White Man’s wickedness. You’re going to fall and fall hard. You’re going to be crying and wailing. You’ll realize you can’t get away with destroying God’s world. Don’t think you can get away with it. God’s going to wipe the wickedness from the earth. You can see his signs.

Out in the West, Mount St. Helens volcano -- that’s a sign. And there’s going to be earthquakes; maybe half of California and half of Washington and Oregon will go into the water. The same in the East, and in the South. You’re going to have volcanoes and earthquakes and hurricanes. - Matthew King, Lakota Nation

It’s prophesied in our Instructions that the end of the world will be near when the trees start dying from the tops down. That’s what the maples are doing today. Our Instructions say the time will come when there will be no corn, when nothing will grow in the garden, when water will be filthy and unfit to drink. And then a great monster will rise up from the water and destroy mankind. One of the names of that monster is “the sickness that eats you up inside” -- like diabetes or cancer or AIDS. Maybe AIDS is the monster. It’s coming. It’s already here.

Our prophet Handsome Lake told of it in the 1700s. He saw Four Beings, like four angels, coming from the Four Directions. They told him what would happen, how there would be diseases we’d never heard of before. You will see many tears in this country. Then a great wind will come, a wind that will make a hurricane seem like a whisper. It will cleanse the earth and return it to its original state. That will be the punishment for what we’ve done to the Creation. - Leon Shenandoah, Onondaga Nation - Wisdomkeepers: Meetings with Native American Spiritual Elders

On October 25, 1985 Leon Shenandoah delivered the following statement to the General Assembly of the United Nations:

In every nation there are wise and good people. These should be appointed Chiefs. They should be the advisors of their people and work for the good of all the people., and their power comes from the "Great Peace." A chief must never forget the Creator of mankind, never forget to ask the Creator for help. The Creator will guide our thoughts and strengthen us as we work to be faithful to our sacred trust and restore harmony among all peoples, all living creatures, and Mother Earth.

We were instructed to carry a love for one another and to show a great respect for all the beings of this earth... In our ways spiritual consciousness is the highest form of politics. When people cease to respect and express gratitude for these many things, then all life will be destroyed, and human life on this planet will come to an end.

These are our times and responsibilities. Every human being has a sacred duty to protect the welfare of our Mother Earth, from whom all life comes. In order to do this we must recognize the enemy -- the one within us. We must begin with ourselves.

We must live in harmony with the Natural World and recognize that excessive exploitation can only lead to our own destruction. We cannot trade the welfare of our future generations for profit now. We must abide by the Natural Law or be victims of its ultimate reality.

We must stand together, the four sacred colors of humans, as the one family we are, in the interest of peace.

We must abolish nuclear and conventional weapons of war.

When warriors are leaders, then you will have war. We must raise leaders of peace.

We must unite the religions of the world as the spiritual force strong enough to prevail in peace.

It is no longer good enough to cry, "Peace." We must act peace, live peace, and march in peace in alliance with the people of the world.

We are the spiritual energy that is thousands times stronger than nuclear energy. Our energy in the combined will of all people with the spirit of the Natural World, to be of one body, one heart and one mind for peace.

The Mohawk people talk about the 'Seventh Generation':

According to the Mohawk prophecy of the Seventh Generation, seven generations after contact with the Europeans the Onkwehonwe would see the day when the elm trees would die. The prophecy said that strange animals would be born deformed and without the proper limbs. Huge stone monsters would tear open the face of the earth. The rivers would burn. The air would burn the eyes of man. According to the prophecy of the Seventh Generation the Onkwehonwe would see the time when the birds would fall from the sky. The fish would die in the water. And man would grow ashamed of the way that he had treated his Mother and Provider, the Earth.

Finally, according to this prophecy, after seven generations of living in close contact with the Europeans, the Onkwehonwe would rise up and demand that their rights and stewardship over the Earth be respected and restored.

According to the wisdom of this prophecy, men and women would one day turn to the Onkwehonwe for both guidance and direction. It is up to the present generation of youth of the Kanienkehaka to provide leadership and example to all who have failed. The children of the Kanienkehaka are the seventh generation. - - Dreaming the Council Ways: True Native Teachings from the Red Lodge

In the book American Prophecies by Scott Peterson there is an excellent reference to 'Deganawidah: The Two Serpents':

When Deganawidah was leaving the Indians in the Bay of Quinte in Ontario, he told the Indian people that they would face a time of great suffering. They would distrust their leaders and the principles of peace of the League, and a great white serpent was to come upon the Iroquois, and that for a time it would intermingle with the Indian serpent as a friend.

This serpent would in time become so powerful that it would attempt to destroy the Indian, and the serpent is described as choking the life's blood out of the Indian people. Deganawidah told the Indians that they would be in such a terrible state at this point that all hope would seem to be lost, and he told them that when things looked their darkest a red serpent would come from the north and approach the white serpent, which would be terrified, and upon seeing the red serpent he would release the Indian, who would fall to the ground almost like a helpless child, and the white serpent would turn all its attention to the red serpent. The bewilderment would cause the white serpent to accept the red one momentarily.

The white serpent would be stunned and take part of the red serpent and accept him. Then there is a heated argument and a fight. And then the Indian revives and crawls toward the land of the hilly country, and then he would assemble his people together, and they would renew their faith and the principles of peace that Deganawidah had established.

There would at the same time exist among the Indians a great love and forgiveness for his brother, and in this gathering would come streams from all over -- not only the Iroquois but from all over -- and they would gather in this hilly country, and they would renew their friendship. And Deganawidah said they would remain neutral in this fight between the white and red serpents.

At the time they were watching the two serpents licked in this battle, a great message would come to them, which would make them ever so humble, and when they become that humble, they will be waiting for a young leader, an Indian boy, possibly in his teens, who would be a choice seer. Nobody knows who he is or where he comes from, but he will be given great power, and would be heard by thousands, and he would give them the guidance and the hope to refrain from going back to their land and he would be the accepted leader.

And Deganawidah said that they will gather in the land of the hilly country, beneath the branches of an elm tree, and they should burn tobacco and call upon Deganawidah by name when facing the darkest hours, and he will return. Deganawidah said that as the choice seer speaks to the Indians that number as the blades of grass, and he would be heard by all at the same time, and as the Indians are gathered watching the fight, they notice from the south a black serpent coming from the sea, and he is described as dripping with salt water, and as he stands there, he rests for a spell to get his breath, all the time watching to the north to the land where the white and red serpents are fighting.

Deganawidah said that the battle between the white and the red serpents opened very slowly but would then become so violent that the mountains would crack and the rivers would boil and the fish would turn up on their bellies. He said that there would be no leaves on the trees in that area. There would be no grass, and that strange bugs and beetles would crawl from the ground and attack both serpents, and he said that a great heat would cause the stench of death to sicken both serpents. And then, as the boy seer is watching this fight, the red serpent reaches around the back of the white serpent and pulls from him a hair which is carried toward the south by a great wind into the waiting hands of the black serpent, and as the black serpent studies this hair, it suddenly turns into a woman, a white woman who tells him things that he knows to be true but he wants to hear them again.

When this white woman finishes telling these things, he takes her and gently places her on a rock with great love and respect, and then he becomes infuriated at what he has heard, so he makes a beeline for the north, and he enters the battle between the red and white serpents with such speed and anger that he defeats the two serpents, who have already been battle weary.

When he finishes, he stand on the chest of the white serpent, and he boasts and puts his chest out like he¹s the conqueror, and he looks for another serpent to conquer. He looks to the land of the hilly country and then sees the Indian standing with his arms folded and looking ever so noble that he knows that this Indian is not the one to fight. The next direction that he will face will be eastward and at that time he will be momentarily blinded by a light that is many times brighter than the sun.

The light will be coming from the east to the west over the water, and when the black serpent regains his sight, he becomes terrified and makes a beeline for the sea.

He dips into the sea and swims away in a southerly direction, and shall never again be seen by the Indians.

The white serpent revives, and he too sees the light, and he makes a feeble attempt to gather himself and go toward that light.

A portion of the white serpent refuses to remain but instead makes its way toward the land of the hilly country, and there he will join the Indian People with a great love like that of a lost brother.

The rest of the white serpent would go to the sea and dip into the sea and would be lost out of sight for a spell. Then suddenly the white serpent would appear again on the top of the water and he would be slowly swimming toward the light. Deganawidah said that the white serpent would never again be troublesome to the Indian People.

The red serpent would revive and he would shiver with great fear when he sees that light. He would crawl to the north and leave a bloody, shaky trail northward, and he would never be seen again by the Indians. Deganawidah said as this light approaches that he would be that light, and he would return to his Indian People, and when he returns, the Indian People would be a greater nation than they had ever been before. - Native American Prophecies: History, Wisdom and Startling Predictions

There are many more traditional prophecies contained in the books I linked to above. If you decide to read the words of the elders from different tribes it is remarkable how many of the prophecies parallel. This may be evidence that the 'sky gods' actually did communicate with this early people and that there is a message for all of us. Lon

A Visitor In the NIGHT!

During the day the house was oppressive, but when night fell, it grew terrifying. Barbara’s husband left for the early morning shift around 2 a.m., and as she lay on her side in bed, the sound of his vehicle disappearing into the distance, she knew she wasn’t alone in the room.

“I would feel as though someone would sit down on the bed on his side,” she said. Dread gripped her as she lay motionless, the pressure on the bed shifting as the unseen prowler moved closer. “I was so terrified each time as it was so real. I tried to convince myself I was dreaming but tried to breathe normally and not move in case it was an intruder, although I don’t know why I thought that would make them leave me alone.”

She told her husband, who didn’t believe her, until one night he saw this visitor. “What do you want?” he asked as he and Barbara lay in bed. The sudden words in the still night dragged her to consciousness. “I asked who he was speaking to, and he said he thought he saw one of the kids in the doorway,” Barbara said. She looked across the darkened room toward the door to the hall and saw a figure; but she knew it wasn’t one of the children. “It looked so tall.”
After that night, the dark man appeared to the couple often. “It was very dark and appeared to me to be a tall man, although I couldn’t make out features like eyes, or nose,” she said. “(We) experimented with turning lights on/off to see if we could determine if something was throwing the light in such a way as to make it appear someone was standing in the doorway to our room, all to no avail.”
As she endured the torment of this figure sitting on her bed while her husband was at work throughout 1993, the dark man became more brazen. “The feeling of someone sitting on his side of the bed continued,” she said. “Then became the feeling that someone would lie down on the bed. Each time I was paralyzed with fear.”
Barbara began to understand why. Something was wrong in the house; an ominous, tense feeling grew that year, but she knew it didn’t come from her dark nightly visitor. “My (husband) and I were not getting along at the time,” she said. “His behavior had become strange enough that I hid the bullets to his hand gun. The vibes in the house weren’t good a great deal of the time.”
The entity’s advances continued to escalate. “One night after my (husband) went to work I felt the entity in the room behind me and beside my (husband)’s side of the bed,” Barbara said. “I then felt it lie on the bed, then scoot closer till it was spooning with me.” Barbara lay in abject terror as this dark man’s presence all but touched her. “It lay there for a long time, which was the most terrifying event of all.”
The tension in the house eased when her husband moved out. Barbara tried shifting her bed around the room to see if a different position would confuse the dark man, but it didn’t. “He was always there,” she said. “Just standing and, I assume, watching me.” She positioned her bed diagonally across from the door so she could see the dark man in the doorway whenever she opened her eyes; but her feeling for the dark man quickly changed.
“I honestly felt no fear of him once my (husband) was gone, but rather felt safe every time I saw him afterward, as though he was watching over me,” Barbara said. “It was very strange to go so immediately from fear to safety in my feelings about him; but I was naturally accepting of the safe feeling.”
A year after her husband left, they divorced, but by that point, she had accepted the dark man into her life. It emotionally pained her when her finances after the divorce meant she had to move away from the dark man. “I had to leave the house as I couldn’t afford two mortgages,” she said. “I had a huge panic attack the evening of the day I gave the landlady a check for the deposit on the rental home and asked her to tear up the check as I simply couldn’t leave the house.”

The next day she realized she couldn’t afford to stay in the house with her dark protector, and she moved out. “I haven’t seen (him) since, nor have I felt as though someone was in my bed with me,” Barbara said. “But as I’ve gotten older, I’m 56 now, I’ve wondered more and more what he was and why he was there.”
The biggest question that remains with Barbara, is what would have happened if she’d have acknowledge the dark man once her husband moved from the house. “I think I may have partially smiled in his direction a few times during the night after the separations from my ex,” she said. “But that was the extent of it.”
What was Barbara’s protector? Guardian angel? Shadow man? Or simply the ghost of someone close to her family, just watching out for her? Regardless of his origin, Barbara misses the dark man.
“It’s still so weird to me how comforting he was after my ex was gone and the bad vibes had gone with him,” she said. “I never told anyone of these events until many years later as I had always scoffed at stories about ghosts or spirits and figured people would think I was crazy.”

The Fascinating Life of Cherry Hinkle

Cherry Hinkle is a UFO researcher with over 50 years of experience. She frequently contributes to books, articles, and blogs in the UFO community. Cherry supplies information to anyone who needs it, and surprised several writers by sending them in-depth UFO articles to help them complete their books. Since 1987, she has sent information to scores of writers and researchers, both domestic and international regarding the infamous underground Dulce Base. Cherry is happily married to Bill Hinkle and they live in Las Vegas, NV. She is on Facebook and is always pleased to share UFO information.
Adam Gorightly: Let’s begin with your earliest experiences with UFO's and ET's. I understand these experiences started in the early 1960's.
Cherry Hinkle:  I have been a contactee since a preschool child. Beings contacted me every two years; no matter if I lived in the United States or elsewhere. At the age of 8, I was reading the works of Madame Helene Blavatsky, and understanding the occult. The unusual and the paranormal was my average day.
By the early 1960’s I had already experienced enough unusual events that I felt confident I would never be unnerved by a strange event. But I was mistaken.

I experienced a strange event on the way to shopping one evening. I am sure you understand the confusion when you experience a medical type exam by small greys with large golden eyes - large enough to have their elongated eyes ‘wrap’ around the temple? Their flat faces, tiny mouths and large lumpy domed heads didn’t frighten me as much as their method to take me. I couldn’t move, couldn’t scream for help, I was totally paralyzed; only my thought were still active.
When an alien wearing black robes touched my shoulder and placed a coin-like disk on my forehead, I relaxed and no longer feared them.
Since the 1962 event several people have seen or met “Jahel” the alien in black robes. All four of my children experienced events with Jahel, and at least a couple visiting missionaries from the Mormon Church got the shock of their life when Jahel suddenly appeared in my living room. That was hard to explain, and the missionaries certainly left in a hurry.
I have enjoyed a fascinating life, and experienced many other events since that 1960s encounter.
AG: It is interesting that you mentioned the occult. My research has led me to suspect that the UFO phenomena is highly associated with the occult, and that many of these encounters may be the result of magic rituals conducted either wittingly or wittingly on the part of the observers/witnesses. In other words, UFO witness may play a large role in this experience, in terms of “calling down” the phenomena/craft, and of making these entities appear, whatever they may be. Your thoughts?
CH: There are certain things I am not at liberty to freely discuss regarding the occulted aspects of Dulce Base, but I’ll at least mention a few items. However, I believe I can freely mention my great-uncle William Wynn Westcott, my paternal grandmother’s uncle. W.W. Westcott founded the famed organization known as “Golden Dawn.” Since it is a family tradition I do understand the practices in Golden Dawn, as well as other secretive mystery schools such as the Rosicrucian’s.

I am sure you are familiar with the dark side of the alien story and that high strangeness smacks of ritualistic magical acts during the so called alien abductions. Items such as the nude physical examination while the human is strapped on the table/altar surrounded by the instrument-carried aliens, usually one unique being stands aside, merely watching the procedures. I must admit it does sound very much like the highest magical rituals. No one could deny the parallel courses of high magic and alien abduction.
The modern practice of “calling down” of the alien craft is very much like a primitive ritual, not too different than the ancient rituals used by the African Dogon tribe to communicate with the space beings from Sirius; some things never change. I wouldn’t be shocked to discover the Dogon shared an interest in the biblical Enoch and his fascinating books. Nor would be I surprised to find they have a basic understanding of the works of Dr. Wilhelm Reich. They might have different terms for Orgone Energy in Africa, but the same effects are unchanged.
AG: How did you come to know Thomas Castello, and what information did he pass on to you about the Dulce Base?
CH: It’s a long story Adam, and I’ll try to make it brief.
Back in 1962, Tom Castello was in the Air Force, and stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tinkering on his 1950 Packard car became his hobby, and in the process of ordering hand crafted modified car parts, he met my father, Charlie, a master machinist. Tom and dad shared the same fascination with UFOs, and spent hours debating all aspects of the unidentified flying objects. Within a few months dad introduced Tom to me, and he became a family friend.

Tom and I quickly became close friends - no romance, just friends; I stood up for him when Tom married Cathy. We started investigating UFO cases together and submitted the reports to a secretive UFO group known as the Central Unit. Then Tom left the Air Force and accepted work with the Rand Corporation in California. Within a few months he transferred to Los Alamos – and Dulce Base. He worked as the head of security in Dulce Base for two years, until in October 1979, when there was a fatal conflict inside the 7 leveled genetic facilities.
The day after the conflict, Tom reentered the Base through air ventilation shaft in one of the ice caves in New Mexico. When he left Dulce Base Tom brought out photos, documents, diagrams and his spare flash-gun, an awesome weapon.
Ultimately Tom asked me to help him find a safe place to hide the items he gathered. I knew the exact place – a rugged mountain in Arizona, a place my son and I have visited a few times. That mountain was remote and difficult to climb. Together Tom and I buried a box of the materials, confident no one would accidently stumble across the box. By then, Tom was on the run, trying to stay one step ahead of the group that determined to reclaim the missing materials and capture or kill him.
In 1987 Tom asked me to find a trustworthy person to help expose Dulce Base and the horrid experiments going on in that underground place. I tried a lot of people, but finally the best person was the well known John Lear, here in Las Vegas. Starting with a few sketches and a one page description of the items in the buried box, John did an exceptional job of getting the material out in a short period of time. I will always hold John Lear in high regard for his exceptional work in exposing Dulce Base. Those few pages – with the sketches, comprise “The Dulce Papers.”

The last time I saw Tom in late 1990, he asked me to promise I would complete his work for him, if something happened to him. I suggested he find someone else, because I am reclusive and he needed someone more aggressive, more outgoing. But he insisted he trusted me and knew I wouldn’t let him down. I promised I’d never give up and keep trying to expose Dulce Base.

In April 1991, Tom was living in Costa Rica, working in an underground facility near the border of Panama, when a 7.5 earthquake devastated the area. Since that day, I’ve never heard from Tom.

I have all his letters, my hand written notes regarding the box and materials buried in Arizona, and a determination to fulfill my promise to my best friend. I've ignored the snide remarks, the personal death threats and have a strong will power to do what is right, at any cost.
AG: Are you at liberty to tell us what agency Castello work for when he served as head of Security at Dulce? I was also under the understanding that Castello lived in Santa Fe during the period of the Dulce conflict. If he did indeed live in Santa Fe at the time, is it possible he gained access to the Dulce Base through an entrance in Santa Fe? The reason I’m curious about this is due to the difficulty people have had finding an actual entrance to the Dulce Base in the area of Archuleta Mesa on the Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation. This, in addition to rumors I have heard that there actually is an entrance to Dulce in Santa Fe.
CH: Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t think to specifically ask Tom the name of the agency he worked for at Dulce Base, and I don’t recall anyone else has asked that question - but that is an excellent question. However, other than knowing it is part of the RAND Corporation holdings I can’t help you. I did a brief search in Tom’s letters, and I didn’t find that information, I’m sorry.
Yes, Tom and Cathy had a home in Santa Fe – the spacious rancho-style dwellings on ½ acre lots made the workers comfortable, knowing the neighbors also worked Dulce Base or for at Los Alamos facilities. And of course, it makes it easier for the organization to keep an eye on the workers. Most of the Dulce workers live in or near Santa Fe.
You are correct Adam, when the Dulce conflict occurred Tom lived in Santa Fe, and traveled through Los Alamos to Dulce Base. With no exception, all workers entered Dulce Base through the underground shuttle terminal at Los Alamos. I’m certain you are familiar that Santa Fe and Los Alamos are close-by, roughly a short 30 minute drive apart, and many of the workers carpool. Although a few people visit the town of Dulce, New Mexico, hoping to find the few ventilator shafts down to Dulce Base, their chance of finding these vents are next to impossible to find. Determined searchers that stumble across the vents would be surprised to find security cameras to Dulce Base, not to mention the motion sensors – followed by angry armed guards.
In 1987-1988 I posted instructions to five entrances to the vents I heard from Tom. But I’m sure those entrances were blocked or sealed shortly after I posted them. These people intend to keep the Base secret – by any methods required.
To the best of my knowledge there is no direct entrance to Dulce Base; the workers depend on the Los Alamos direct shuttle to Dulce.
AG: You mentioned photos that came out of the Dulce Base, but to date I’ve only seen one photo, which depicts the vats that were on level 7 where the genetic experiments were allegedly performed. This is the photo that was distributed by researcher Tal Levesque. Was this photo given to Tal by Tom Castello? I understand that Tal and Castello were neighbors in Santa Fe, so perhaps it was during that period Tal received this infamous photo? Or did you share the photo with Tal?
CH: I can only confirm that to the best of my knowledge, yes Tom Castello met Tal Levesque and provided that photo.
Back in April 1979, I visited both Mr. & Mrs. Levesque and Mr. & Mrs. Castello and spent a few days visiting them, both couples lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico. At the time, both Tom and Tal accepted positions as security workers.
I’ve known Mr. & Mrs. Levesque since 1975, over the years we shared an incredible amount of information, documents & photos. I do know that Tom trusted Tal to release information and it seems to me that Tom visited Tal a few times in California.
AG: Do you intend to release any of the Dulce photos or other materials that Castello passed on to you, or will those remain buried in Arizona? Also, you mentioned certain occult aspects of Dulce which you could not discuss. Are there any occult aspects of Dulce you can discuss?
CH: For several years, I have considered sharing the information found in that buried box in Arizona with the right person or group of people – those people must have with the natural intelligence to make sure the box of material and proof goes to the right research team. The ‘right people must make sure Tom’s Flash Gun does not fall into the wrong hands. That weapon has incredible power; on the highest setting the Flash Gun can totally disintegrate any human, animal, plant or other object in its path, leaving only a minimum residue to mark its original position. The weapon vaporizes anything, a human, a car, anything, with no limits. According to Tom Castello, the only exception is certain forms of quartz. Tom passed away before he could fully explain that exception, and why quartz is powerless against the Flash Gun.
The documents, diagrams, letters and photographs include undisputed proof of living aliens that co-inhabit planet Earth, and I consider it is vital that information like that needs to remain free information, and must not be blocked or sold to any person or country.
Regarding certain occult information in Dulce Base, I must be very careful here, due to an oath I signed to never reveal sensitive classified information, under the penalty of incarceration or death. Although they used coercion to gain my signature, the document remains a binding legal document. I signed that oath in 1980, and since that date, I’ve been very careful not to risk breaking that oath. With that in mind I can only state that in Dulce Base there is a strong occult connection that affects the highest governmental offices in every country, worldwide. The Dracon Leaders are master occultists, and to the average ‘man-on-the-street’ on the surface of planet Earth, the Leaders are real magicians or more like the Magi. They have mastered atomic material, and can walk through walls, levitate and can use bi-location at will. Aside from that, I can’t offer a better explanation. But if you are wise, you can read my message and understand a hidden message.
AG: Can you tell me about the book project you are working on?
CH: I’d be glad to discuss my book Adam! The book I am about to be publish focuses on the last week Tom worked at Dulce Base, ending on the fatal conflict known as the Dulce Wars.

That version is a fictional story, based in truth, exposes the little known work conditions and Tom’s co-workers in that underground facility. Dulce Base information that has never been discussed anywhere will be revealed in this book. The story explains how the prying eyes of the public views Tom Castello, a high-ranking security technician, who secretly worked to sabotage the hybrid genetic experiments going on in an underground alien and human facility in New Mexico.

His co-workers include several men and women, both human and non-human. One of my favorite characters is a sexy widow, a seven-foot reptilian known as Ka-Adella, who never hides how she feels about Tom, and constantly attempts to seduce him.
This beautiful repton could break Tom in half with one hand, but instead she falls in love with him, and helps him escape during the Dulce Wars. Tom told me how she introduced him to other reptons that also wanted to end the genetic experiments, and how they hope to live on the surface of this world, as friends to the human race.
From how Tom and I became friends to how he discovered the horrid secrets hidden in the tunnels of Nightmare Hall is all exposed in my book. I found a publisher, and hope to have my book on the market very soon.
AG: Sounds great, Cherry, I look forward to reading the book. Thanks for the interview!

The American Hoaxer

OK's time for a little history lesson. Since the paranormal field is rife with hoaxes and fakes, I thought I'd research and present a bit of fact on one of our most famous hoaxers.

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) was born the son of a candle and soap maker, but by his own efforts and remarkable intellect he rose to become arguably the most admired man of the eighteenth century.

Franklin had many ventures throughout his a printer, philosopher, man of science, man of letters, and statesman. He was also a hoaxer. Some may even say that he was a fraud. Some eighteenth-century literary figures such as Jonathan Swift and Daniel Defoe, used hoaxes for sarcastic ends. Franklin was a master satirist...exposing what he perceived as foolishness and vice to the light of public censure. Addressing public opinion through hoaxes reveals the increasing importance placed upon public opinion (and the idea of democracy) throughout this period.

Franklin was skilled in the art of public relations before that concept had even been dreamed up. The image which he presented of himself to the world was that of a simple but wise American rustic dressed in a raccoon-skin hat. It was a carefully crafted public persona which belied reality...that he was one of the most sophisticated, cosmopolitan men of his era.

Franklin's most famous hoaxes are described below:

Silence Dogood (1722)

If you watched the film National Treasure then you are aware of the Silence Dogood letters.

Between April and October 1722 a series of letters appeared in the New England Courant supposedly written by a middle-aged widow who called herself Silence Dogood. In her correspondence she poked fun at various aspects of life in colonial America, such as the drunkenness of locals, religious hypocrisy, the persecution of women, the fashion for hoop petticoats, and particularly the pretensions of Harvard College.

The Silence Dogood letters became quite popular. Some of the male readers of the Courant were so taken with her that they offered to marry her. But unfortunately for these would-be suitors, Silence Dogood did not exist. She was the invention of sixteen year-old Benjamin Franklin, who was working at the time as an apprentice to his older brother, James, a Boston printer.

Franklin initially concealed his authorship of the letters from his brother. When he finally confessed to his brother that he was the author, his brother grew quite displeased, fearing that all the compliments paid to Silence Dogood would make young Benjamin grow vain. Soon after this, Franklin decided to run away and seek his fortune in Philadelphia.

This was the first of many hoaxes Franklin perpetrated throughout his life.

A Witch Trial at Mount Holly (1730)

On October 22, 1730 an article appeared in the Pennsylvania Gazette describing a witch trial that had recently been held in Mount Holly near Burlington, New Jersey.

According to the article, over 300 people had gathered to witness the trial of two people, a man and a woman, who had been accused of witchcraft. The charges included "making their neighbours sheep dance in an uncommon manner, and with causing hogs to speak, and sing Psalms, &c. to the great terror and amazement of the King's good and peaceable subjects in this province." The full text of the article can be found at A Witch Trial at Mount Holly

The story would have been remarkable if it were true, because in 1730 a witch trial had not occurred in America for many decades. The famous Salem Witch Trials had occurred almost forty years earlier, in 1692.

In his book Benjamin Franklin as a Man of Letters John Bach McMaster suggested Franklin's authorship of this hoax. In 1730 Franklin was the owner and publisher of the Pennsylvania Gazette. He commonly published articles and letters written by himself, but attributed to others, in order to make it appear that his paper received more correspondence than it actually did.

Assuming that Franklin did author the Witch Trial, it seems he intended it as a parody of Puritan beliefs. By 1730 it had become acceptable for the educated class in America to ridicule beliefs such as witchcraft, even though the majority of the population still clung to those beliefs.

The Death of Titan Leeds (1732)

Franklin published a highly successful, yearly almanac from 1732 to 1758 titled Poor Richard’s Almanac...assuming the literary persona of "Poor" Richard Saunders, who was supposedly a hen-pecked, poverty-stricken scholar.

In the first year of its publication, Franklin included a prediction stating that rival almanac-writer Titan Leeds would die on "Oct. 17, 1733, 3:29 P.M., at the very instant of the conjunction of the Sun and Mercury." The prediction was intended as a ruse, though Leeds took offense at it and chastised Saunders (Franklin) for it in his own almanac.

Franklin responded by turning the death of Leeds into a running joke. When the date and time of the prediction arrived, and Leeds did not die, Franklin declared that Leeds actually had died, but that someone had usurped his name and was now using it to falsely publish his almanac.

Franklin continued to insist Leeds was dead in the following years until finally, in 1738, Leeds actually did die. This prompted Franklin to congratulate the men who had annexed Leeds’s name for finally deciding to end their pretense.

Franklin adapted the Titan Leeds hoax from Jonathan Swift’s similar Isaac Bickerstaff hoax of 1708.

The Enigmatical Prophecies (1736)

The yearly almanac Poor Richard's Almanac began publishing in 1732. In 1737, five years into the life of the publication, Franklin included three "enigmatical prophecies" in the almanac. He predicted that:

A great storm would cause all the major cities of North America to be under water;

A "great number of vessels fully laden will be taken out of the ports… by a Power with which we are not now at war;"

and that an "army of 30,000 musketeers will land… and sorely annoy the inhabitants."

A year passed and none of the prophecies appeared to come true. But just when Franklin's readers were about to label him an incompetent soothsayer, he triumphantly declared that all three prophecies had actually come true. Rainstorms had placed every city under water, the power of wind ("a Power with which we are not now at war") had taken fully-laden vessels out of ports, and more than 30,000 musketeers (or mosquitoes) had definitely annoyed the inhabitants.

It was a stretch of the predictions' suggested intent but Franklin had a knack for double entendre of phrases.

The Trial of Polly Baker (1747)

In 1747 the London General Advertiser printed the text of a speech said to have been given by a woman, Polly Baker, at her trial. She had just given birth to her fifth child, was unmarried, and had been charged with having sexual intercourse out of wedlock.

Polly Baker readily admitted her guilt but argued that the law itself was unreasonable. Why was she being punished, she asked, while the men who committed the crime with her were let off without penalty? According to the article, Polly's argument so moved the judges that one of them asked for her hand in marriage the next day.

The text of Polly Baker's speech subsequently circulated widely throughout Europe and America, and it was believed to be real. However, thirty years later Franklin admitted he had written it. His intention appears to have been to draw attention to the unfairness of the law which punished mothers, but not fathers, for having children out of wedlock. Franklin himself had fathered a son out of wedlock. The hoax was also Franklin’s first criticism of the penal system, a subject which he devoted much attention to in his later years.

The Electric Kite Hoax (June 1752)

On October 19, 1752, the Pennsylvania Gazette published a brief description of an experiment recently conducted by Benjamin Franklin. The article stated that Franklin had flown a kite in a thunderstorm, causing electricity to be conducted down the line of the kite and electrifying a key tied to it. This demonstrated that lightning, as many had speculated, was a form of electricity.

Franklin's electric kite became the most famous experiment of the eighteenth century, helping to make Franklin famous throughout Europe and America. And yet, some historians argue that it probably never happened.

They point to a curious lack of details about the experiment. It is not known exactly when the experiment occurred. Sometime in June, 1752 was the closest Franklin ever came to an exact date. Nor did Franklin ever write a formal report about it. The only witness to the event was Franklin's son, who never said a word about it. Finally, such an experiment would have been extremely dangerous, possibly fatal, as Franklin knew.

It has been suggested that Franklin originally proposed the idea for the experiment as a joke. Frustrated because the British Royal Society had been ignoring his letters about his earlier electrical research, he might have proposed the deadly experiment as a subtle joke. But when his suggestion reached France, where people took it seriously, Franklin decided to play along and claimed he really had conducted the experiment.

The theory still remains controversial. Some historians argue that Franklin would never have risked being exposed as a liar by the scientific community. Nonetheless, we now know where the phrase 'go fly a kite' was Franklin's way of telling the British Royal Society to 'f**k off!'

Franklin instigated other hoaxes in order to make a point, including the The Supplement to the Boston Independent Chronicle in 1782 alleging that Indian warriors were sending hundreds of American scalps as war trophies to British royalty and Members of Parliament. The scalps included those of women, as well as young girls and boys. This deception was intended to aid the American war effort by turning European opinion against the British.

In Franklin's autobiography he listed his '13 Virtues' in which he sought to cultivate his character and continued to practice in some form for the rest of his life. Though, it seems that the use of a 'little white lie' on occasion couldn't hurt.

The 'Hook Man'

We've all heard the story...the Hook Man, an urban legend and Halloween classic. But is there any truth behind it? Here's the basic rendition:

On a summer night, a boy and a girl drive out to a spot in the woods. Parked in the darkness, they heard on the radio that a man escaped from the a State Hospital, several miles from the local high school, and was terrorizing and killing innocent people. He was described to have lost his hand and years ago it had been replaced by a large metal hook. He had hacked off his own hand in a fit of madness, attempting to escape a pair of handcuffs years earlier.

The boy thought nothing of it, switched off the radio and turned his attention to his girlfriend.

Suddenly, noises were uttered nearby through the darkness. The girl pulled away, frightened. “I’m scared. You know...about what they said on the radio? Maybe we should go home.”

“What? Do you want your parents to find out we didn’t go to the movies? Calm down.” As they picked up where they left off, they didn’t hear anything for a while until there was a loud screech on the door...coming from the girl’s side of the car.

“That’s it, take me home! It’s not safe out here!”

Her boyfriend, obviously frustrated, reluctantly agreed. He moaned all the way home, teasing her for “being such a baby”. Barely waiting for the car to stop, the girl angrily opened the door and got out of the car as they pulled up to her driveway. Slamming the car door, ready to go inside, she froze, staring at the car. She started to scream.

The alarmed boy got out of the car and walked around to her side, where he too, stopped where he stood and could only stare at the door handle in shocked amazement. Found dangling from the car door, was a bloody hook.

This supposed urban legend began circulating after World War II and more widely during the 1950s. There are many variations, but the basic story is the same. In an alternative version of the story, the couple are driving through an unknown part of the country at night, and decide to stop the car in the middle of the woods, either because the male has to relieve himself, or the car has broken down and the man leaves to go for help. While waiting for him to return, the female turns on the radio and hears about the escaped mental patient. While waiting for the male to return, she is disturbed many times by a loud thumping on the roof of the car. She eventually exits her car and sees the escaped patient on the roof of the car, holding the man's decapitated head in his hand and hitting the roof with it. It's typical horror movie fodder...but is there any fact to the story?

In Seymour, Connecticut there is the Great Hill Cemetery which has been in use since the early 1800′s and as legend would have it is the preferred haunting grounds of the 'Hook Man.' In the 1940s a story began to circulate about a caretaker with a hooked man that once lived on the property. The caretaker murdered a young man who had been snooping around the grounds after dark. After dispatching the intruder the caretaker hung him from one of the trees on the property. Another version of the tale claims that a man by the name of 'Hookman' was wrongfully accused of a murder and since haunts the same cemetery. Old maps of the property do indicate that at one time the grounds housed a caretaker cabin.

An older account of the Hook Man legend goes back to the 1920s in Maine where a sailor returned home after two years at sea to discover that his wife had taken up residence with another man. In a fit of rage, the spurned sailor grabbed a meat hook and butchered both his wife and her suitor. It is said that the sailor hid the bodies and made his way to the Far East...never to be heard from again.

Then there is the more contemporary allegory of Edward Wayne Edwards...who could have easily been the legendary semi-mythical psycho-killer rumored to haunt lover’s lanes across this country. Edward Edwards, who died in April 2011 in an Ohio prison cell at 77 years of age, was very real.

His murders earned him the moniker 'man with the hook' from author Phil Stanford...though he never used a hook as a weapon (as far as we know). Of all known serial killers, Edwards was among the most cunning. Once, while on the run from the law in Minnesota, Edwards posed as a psychiatrist. In Oregon, he managed to convince those around him he was a CIA agent, fighting Communists for the U.S. government.

In the 1970s, after his release from Leavenworth, where he was doing time for bank robbery, Edwards appeared on a network quiz show, What’s My Line? posing as a reformed criminal.

He even wrote and published a book, Metamorphosis of a Criminal touting his supposed conversion from armed robber to family man...all the while, dropping clever hints about his exploits as a serial killer.

Finally arrested in 2009 as the result of a cold case investigation in Wisconsin, Edwards confessed to the murders of young couples in Wisconsin and Ohio.

Those familiar with his history are convinced he also committed his signature double-murders in Oregon, Montana and California. Montana investigator John Cameron, a former police officer currently working as a parole board analyst, has raised questions about Edwards' possible involvement in the deaths of Patricia Kalitzke and Lloyd Duane Bogle in Great Falls in 1957. He also believes Edwards may even be the Zodiac Killer who terrified the San Francisco Bay area in 1968-69 as well as the culprit in the Jon-Benet Ramsey murder.

In The Peyton-Allan Files Stanford ties Edwards directly to the savage murders of two teenagers in Portland, Oregon in November 1960.

Murderpedia - Edward Wayne Edwards

Though Edwards could not have been the basis for the original 'Hook Man', his history does offer some foundation to the theory that the urban legend was the result of a real murderer from the past.

Visitors from Elsewhen: Time Travelers Among Us

Visitors from Elsewhen: Time Travelers Among Us

Time travel is a subject that has fascinated all manner of authors and given rise to a galaxy of speculation. Whether it’s the romantic, non-technical treatment of Somewhere in Time (1980), the high-tech action adventure of the Time Tunnel (1968) or contemporary projects like Looper (2012), the thought of going back to visit our collective historic past – or the subjective personal past – remains a gripping concept, and one that is surely to remain with us for generations to come. The ability to go back in time and change situations (the rise of fascism) or view historic events (the fall of Rome) has also fueled a number of plots that have become legendary in the realm of science fiction, which has explored the paradoxes of such endeavors.

But what does science have to say about this elusive, seductive subject?

In the 1950s, Arthur C. Clarke penned the essay “Things That Can Never Be Done”, included in his book “Report on Planet Three and Other Speculations”. Listed among these were immortality, invisibility, thought transference, levitation and the creation of life. “For my part,” wrote Clarke, there is only one of these that I feel certain (well, practically certain!) to be impossible, and that is time travel...” Fifty years later, Stephen Hawking and Michio Kaku have left the door ajar for the possibility, with a new understanding of physics.

Hawking originally scoffed at the possibility of time travel, suggesting that we would currently be hosting visitors from our future (perhaps we are, in the shape of UFOs?) and since we have no futuristic travelers among us, was never developed. One could argue that it was developed, but never used, much like a “doomsday weapon” whose consequences are too terrible to contemplate.

The Chrononaut’s Tale

Stories of time travelers – accidental or deliberate – in our times have multiplied thanks to diffusion on the Internet. YouTube presents us with videos of old movies showing characters dressed in an unusual manner for their time, or else using devices that did not exist in the era. 19th century daguerreotypes of people resembling popular actors like John Travolta or Nicholas Cage have been added to the mix, fueling further “time traveler” speculation. Millions of radio listeners were gripped by the time-traveling character who went by the name “John Titor”, sent from the future to obtain an obscure item of computer equipment that would prove vital in his time. While we can dismiss these as flights of fancy or hoaxes, their grip on the popular imagination still remains strong.

As it turns out, a similar time traveler emerged in South America in the year 2000.

According to the Crónica newspaper of Concepción (Chile) a man named Osvaldo Navarrete had arrived from our near future – the year 2012, to be exact. According to Navarrete’s testimony, he had been one of several subjects of a military experiment in time travel designed to return to the year 2000. Interviewed by journalist Richard Sierra, Navarrete made some predictions about the coming ten years, stating that a disaster would sweep the planet and have “terrible consequences for mankind.”

The time traveler informed the journalist that in the year 2012, the United States was governed by a black president, and that this head of state would inform the people of the discovery of vestiges of ancient intelligent life on Mars following the arrival of a space probe. Writing in mid-October 2012, we can say that the time traveler was on the money. President Obama, however, has made no such disclosure yet). The result of this announcement, stated Navarrete, would be worldwide unrest. Discovery of the Marian ur-civilization would prompt the great powers to work jointly against “an alleged alien attack”, adding to the worldwide social and political crises.

Chrononaut Navarrete was not forthcoming about the way in which he crossed the unsoundable gulf of time from 2012 to 2000. Did he appear in a baroque time machine like Rod Taylor in George Pal’s legendary The Time Traveler, or naked and disoriented in an alleyway like Michael Biehn in The Terminator? The question remains unanswered, and his whereabouts unknown. The last available information on this intriguing person is that he claimed to be “eluding pursuit”, vanishing after making a statement to a radio station.

As an interesting side note, an Argentinean novel about time travel – La invención de Morel (Morel’s Invention), written in 1940 by Adolfo Bioy Casares – is considered by many as the inspiration for the series “LOST”, with its copious doses of confusing time travel and interdimensional action. In Bioy Casares’s novel, the action plays out on an enigmatic island known as Villings, somewhere in the Ellice and Gilbert Archipelago, although the protagonist is never quite sure of the exact location. The characters on the island appear unaware of each other, as if existing in separate time streams, sometimes repeating conversations as though stuck in a “time loop”. The protagonist finds no sign of recent habitation on the island, but the tourists, as he calls them stage a reappearance out of nowhere in the evening. Even more disquieting is the presence of two suns and two moons in the sky, suggesting time and space being superimposed and out of synch.

The Possibility of Time Ships

Unassisted access to another place in time – by stepping into a distortion of what we understand to be space/time, or entering a sacred cave or structure – has been a constant feature in non-technological fiction on time travel. Thus, we have Christopher Reeves visiting Jane Seymour in the past of the early 1900s (Somewhere in Time) by surrounding himself with objects from the epoch, or a memorable Superman comic adventure in which photographer Jimmy Olsen places his head under the hand of a statue of Anubis and finds himself revisiting the Revolutionary War era. Such time travel – untrammeled by machinery – makes for better storytelling, no doubt.

But what about machines that can do the seemingly impossible – go from one age of mankind to another?

Andre Douzet and Filip Coppens, writing in The Chronodome ( provide us with the views of legendary author Jacques Bergier on UFOs. Bergier, they note, was ready to accept the notion of UFOs as time machines, not extraterrestrial craft. The gifted mind that gave us Le Matin des Magiciens believed that “a UFO was not a spaceship but a timeship. They were temporal capsules, created by our future descendants, who performed time tourism in them, visiting their distant ancestors – us – if not our own ancestors. For Bergier, this was the main reason why they never interfered with Mankind. Any such action, he felt, might have serious consequences in the future...”

One possible time machine that would have met with Bergier’s approval can be found in the works of the controversial academic Frank J. Tipler of the University of Texas (of Omega Point theory fame). In 1974, Tipler suggested that time travel would be possible by means of an object or spacecraft having the mass of our sun, yet compressed into a cylindrical form measuring 100 kilometers in length and having a diameter of 20 kilometers, spinning at 2000 revolutions per second. These rotations would create closed timelike curves, distorting the surrounding space-time. Approaching the distortion from the right angle, and departing it at the exact point, would conceivably result in an arrival taking place 50 years before the moment of departure. Pinpoint accuracy would be of the essence, as an infinitesimal variation could result in an arrival five hundred or five thousand years prior to the moment of departure.

In 1988, physicist Kip Thorne and colleagues presented a paper suggesting that it would be well within the reach of an advanced civilization to create machines able to “manipulate concentrations of matter-energy” to create closed timelike curves (CTCs). These machines would have little resemblance to Dr. Who’s TARDIS or the sleek stainless steel exterior of Marty McFly’s DeLorean in Back to the Future. In the early 1990s, Stephen Hawking’s own work on the subject (The Chronology Protection Conjecture) posited that time-travel was only possible on the microscopic level, and that CTCs could not be created. Describing - much less understanding! – the physics involved in these theories go beyond the scope of this article. Suffice it to say that minds not bent on science fiction or mysticism have approached the problem objectively and come up with interesting conclusions

There appear are instances, however, where moderately sophisticated man-made objects have become time machines.

The late Antonio Ribera mentions an unusual case in his Las Máquinas del Tiempo (Planeta, 1984) involving an AVIACO airliner on regular service between the Spanish cities of Valencia and Bilbao. At 16:45 hours on an unspecified day in February 1978, the airliner was over Bilbao’s Sondica Airport, awaiting clearance to land. Due to poor weather, the flight was redirected to Parayas Airport in the city of Santander. The AVIACO crew complied and climbed to twelve thousand feet over the sea, heading toward their new destination. Upon reaching their new cruising altitude, the airliner entered a whitish “cloud” and its avionics began to fail one by one, communication systems were among them. Ribera quotes the pilot: “The two VHF systems quit working. We could neither send nor receive. In other words, we couldn’t hear Bilbao or Santander, and they couldn’t hear us either.”

To the crew’s astonishment, the DME (Distance Measuring Equipment) continued to operate – only backwards. “As soon as we entered the cloud,” said the pilot, “the DME began counting miles, but in reverse. That is to say, if we’d covered 24 miles at the time from Bilbao, the DME did not proceed with its normal count forward, but to the contrary. To our astonishment, the DME began counting 23, 22, 21, 20 until it reached zero. It kept measuring another nine miles beyond Bilbao, backward.”

Upon emerging from the cloud, all systems were restored to normal operation, even the radar. The AVIACO flight was able to contact the Santander tower, which had frantically been looking for the missing plane, having received no transponder signals at all. But what astonished the crew was that thirty-five minutes had astonishing fact, considering that the normal flight time between Bilbao and Santander was ten to twelve minutes. Fuel consumption was commensurate to the 35 minute time span...a time period which would have put the airliner well past its intended destination.

1989: Fall of the Iron Curtain / Return of the Humanoids - Part 4

The following article was forwarded by long-time humanoid researcher and colleague Albert S. Rosales. This is the final part of the series...enjoy!

Long ago it became clear that the Soviet Empire had begun to crumble long before the bizarre and indeed incredible article in the Soviet daily, Tass on Monday October 10 1989 detailing an account which shocked many in the west due to its bizarre nature, of course that was the report of an alleged landing of a UFO in a park in the Soviet city of Voronezh and even stranger still the fact that unusual looking humanoids exited the craft and apparently interacted with several local children which were apparently the main witnesses of the event. Later research by Russian researchers Genrih Silanov, Fyedor Kiselyov, Yuriy Lozotsev and Alexander Mosolov proved that there had been dozens of other close encounters and incidents in an around Voronezh starting in August through January 1990, the results were published in a book appropriately called “UFOs in Voronezh” published in 1990.

Before these events both leaders, Reagan, and Gorbachev spoke about the possibility of an alien invasion of earth and pointed out that if that happened all the nations of the earth would unite and do away with their petty political and geographical differences. Already in the spring of 1989 Hungary had begun to dismantle its fortified border with Austria, a clear signal that the division of postwar Europe was coming to an end. And before the astounded eyes of the world by the end of the year, on December 22 1989 to be exact the Brandenburg Gate in East Berlin is opened.

After the unprecedented wave of close encounters with humanoids and UFOs during the decade of the 70’s, 1980 signaled a clear slowdown of reports or encounters, they had not completely gone away but there seemed to be less interest and hence less reports of UFOs and their occupants. This trend appeared to last until the end of 1988 and the beginning of 1989 when reports of humanoid encounters exploded, but in undoubtedly unexpected locations, mostly the whole territory of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. In my files alone I have over 500 high strangeness and humanoid encounters for 1989, more than half from the former Soviet Union, and for 1990 I have over 600 reports, again more than half from the former Soviet Union. As the wall crumbled interest in UFOs and aliens appeared to increase on a daily basis in this vast territory of hundreds of ethnicities with many accounts of bizarre encounters being published by local government controlled newspapers and other cases published by private researchers in their Samizdat newsletters. The wave of encounters, of all types, began in the former Soviet Union at the end of 1988 and lasted well into late 1997. I will concentrate today on 1989...a year that heralded many changes and marked ‘the return of the humanoids’.

The next case is from a country in Eastern Europe that was very much involved in the world changing events that were in progress and it also involved military personnel that country was Hungary:

Location. Tarnaszentmaria military barracks, Hungary
Date: October 20 1989 Time: various
Several bizarre incidents were reported by soldiers at these barracks. First strange loud rumbling sound was heard by the day watch, it resembled a giant balloon being popped. Later that morning guard Louis Honved standing duty at the watch tower watched several moving points of light in the sky; the lights seemed to descend behind some nearby pipelines. Next the guard noticed a sphere about cm diameter preceded by a red light. Moments later a green glow appeared behind him, along the fence near the tower. Later that morning Honved was disturbed by the frantic barking of the guard dog at the foot of the watch tower. The witness climbed down the tower and noticed two bizarre figures moving in a strange manner near the fence. Both figures were humanoid, tall and wearing what appeared to be body armor, he could not see their arms and their heads were covered by milky white bell-shaped helmets, on their feet the witness noticed what appeared to be fins, similar to what divers use. When he attempted to move or call for help he was totally paralyzed. The creatures soon disappeared from sight moving in a strange waddling fashion. After they left he was able to move again. (54)

The next case epitomizes the type of bizarre high strangeness events being reported during those times of change:

Location. Sibay, Bashkortostan Republic, Russia
Date: October 21 1989 Time: daytime
An anonymous male witness noticed a “flying saucer” about 40 meters in diameter, it was a disc-shaped object with a gradual dome and it was hovering about 3 meters over the ground. The witness felt warmth overtake him and his mood became very jovial. He felt somehow attracted to the hovering object. He walked towards it and stopped at about 10-15 meters from the disk and began looking at it. The disk descended closer to the ground and a hatch opened and two “men” stepped out, each one was more than 2 meters in height and both were dressed in silvery suits. They began a telepathic conversation with the witness. They told him to approach and not to be afraid. They then touched him and he was allowed to touch them. After this initial “introduction” they entered the craft via an elevator-like entrance. Inside the witness did not notice anything specially complicated, the disk’s cabin appeared to be quite simply built. The witness noticed that his dirty tracks were left imprinted on the floor of the alien craft. Right after he pointed that out to the aliens some kind of “cleaning machine” entered the room and immediately cleaned his boots and the dirty tracks on the floor. One of the alien visitors then told that they were “guests in his time and that he was a guest onboard their craft” he called himself Abaris. The witness then also introduced himself. The “alien” leader then asked the witness in what “time had they appeared”. He told them, “in the year 1989, the date October 21”. Arabis said that such answer did not mean anything to them, and asked the following question, “How much time had passed since the continents became separated?” (!). The witness said he did not know but told them that the earth was about 5 billion years old and the Universe no less than 15. The “aliens” then told him that civilization had existed on Earth before the continents had drifted apart roughly about 35 thousand years ago. He claimed that during experimentation with accelerator of elementary particles “the Great calamity” had occurred, it had changed conditions on earth to an inappropriate state and had triggered a continental shift. The disaster had occurred because of ignorance of the complete energy substance. It was considered that the full energy was E=MC2, but after the calamity it was apparently 30 degrees higher. After the calamity some of the inhabitants escaped using a time machine. The witness then asked why couldn’t they returned to the past using the time machine and prevent the calamity. The answer was, “According to the principles of Nature time travel to the past is impossible, only time travel to the future is possible”. The witness then asked the “alien” how much time had passed from the moment they had started traveling from their time period. The alien said, “If we could escape the traps of time, by our clock, already 27 minutes have passed, for you is 1/50 of a day.” The witness then asked, “How can all of your civilization meet simultaneously”? The answer was that, their safety measures of time would work, that they had installed them very solidly. Simultaneously, time beacons will inform them about the end of their trip, they said they had many secrets that few knew about, and that civilization must be preserved from different and unexpected things. The witness told the “alien” that he had heard rumors that humanity will be extinct if they did not change their ways by the year 2000, he wanted to know if it was true. The answer was that as to their mutual interests of both “parallel” civilizations” the calamity must never repeat itself, they were working on correcting the “mistake” now. The witness then asked how time travel was possible. He was told that there were 6 degrees of “freedom” in space, forward, backward, left, right, up and down, and one degree in time---to the future. In total there were seven degrees of movement. Apparently they had the ability to slow time and eliminate the need of large consumption of energy. To realize that on practice, the theory of superconductivity must be known as well as super liquidity and super transparency. After the scientific dialogue was finished the witness stepped out of the craft and the “aliens” closed the door, the disk then zoomed up and disappeared. (55)

Location. Badamzar, Kashkadar’yinskaya region, Uzbekistan
Date: October 22 1989 Time: noon
Several local residents observed the landing of a cube-shaped object, square in form & fiery red in color; it was approximately 2 x 1 m, with 2 additional cylindrical protrusions on the corners. On the bottom of the object there was a larger cylinder with rings. The ribs at the bottom of the object were placed in a cross-like arrangement. Two aliens were visible through the window of the craft. A third alien exited the object and walked towards the village. The alien was about 2 m in height, with a flat body and no neck, long arms reaching down below his knees. The head was almost bald with small patches of gray hair jutting out near the ears. The color of the entity’s skin was dark, almost black or dark gray. Instead of a nose the humanoid had small openings. The clothing appeared to be made out of leather, on the chest there was an emblem resembling a “red cross” or two diagonal red lines that crossed in the middle. The alien made an attempt to abduct a local woman (Mrs. Gulasal Khalikova) and her son Muhsinzhon Khalikov. Mrs. Khalikova yelled in her language: “Don’t touch my son! The alien replied: “We will take him”. She replied: No! I will not let you! In turn the alien replied: “We will take your son for two years, if you want we will take you too.” Mrs. Khalikova refused to go and in a panic both she and her son ran away from the alien. A number of her neighbors witness the abduction attempt. Many others saw the object on the ground. (56)

Next we have another case from Voronezh this time involving both children and adult witnesses, the events in Voronezh were far from over:

Location. Voronezh, Russia
Date: October 25 or 26 1989 Time: 1900
A local girl named Svetlana S. had gone to the garage with her father. When her father walked out the girl saw an object emitting light and moving in the sky over the garage. Since it was dark already the object was clearly visible, against the background of a cloudy sky. Quickly increasing its size the object descended on an inclined trajectory and soon using circular motions it began to hover low over the garage. The object was egg-shaped, about 10 meters wide. Small circles were visible near the lower section of the object, resembling portholes or windows. These emitted yellow and red blinking lights. As the object hovered above the roof of the garage several antenna-like devices came out of its hull apparently emitting a loud ringing or beeping sound. After that smaller probes began separating from the larger object. The smaller objects were brightly lit and moved around the larger object. As the smaller lighted objects flew over nearby rooftops, numerous humanoid or entities appeared under their path. The humanoids were taller in size than an average human and wore something like helmets on their heads with “three eyes”. The humanoids carried devices, which according to the young witness resembled automatic machine guns hanging from their chest area. All the entities moved in synchronized movements like robots. Their right arms hung down, pressed against their bodies. Svetlana noticed that they had two fingers that appeared to be joined together and then 2 “normal” separate fingers and a fifth wire-like protrusion instead of a finger. As soon as Svetlana moved the entities grabbed on to their “machine guns” and in seconds several yellow beams of light struck Svetlana, creating something like a loop around her. The frightened girl froze in place, which apparently convinced the entities of her good intentions and ignored her, continuing their strange synchronized movements. Sometime after that, the main object descended and vanished behind the garage, it then ascended again emitting the loud beeping sound again, soon the smaller objects with the humanoids entities returned back inside the main object. The object then performed several circles around the rooftops and then quickly rushed upwards and vanished from sight. Svetlana’s teacher confirmed that the girl was stable and reliable. (57)

Figure 11. Description of female entity reported in Ukraine.

Location. Brovary, Kiev region, Ukraine
Date: October 31 1989 Time: 03:00 a.m.
A female witness named Iva Gospina who had previously seen various UFOs maneuvering over the area woke up late at night feeling apprehensive suspecting someone had broken into the apartment. She checked the apartment and found her family sleeping and everything else in order. She then looked out the window and noticed to her surprise a short woman wearing a tight-fitting black suit standing at her door, the woman had long straight white hair down to her shoulders, there also appeared to be a small black dog standing next to the woman, but since it was dark the witness could not see any other details. Still feeling apprehensive she walked back into the living room and attempted to sleep on the couch. Suddenly a large luminous yellow circle slowly entered through the closed blinds of the window. Three figures, similar to people then appeared standing on her carpet. The figures wore diver’s suits similar to cosmonauts or robots and were approximately 140-150cm in height. Two of them wore diving suits similar in color to frosted glass, and the third wore a golden scaly suit. The yellow light was now arranged in a semi-circle above the figure’s heads. The figures stood quietly without moving or speaking. In a state of panic the witness mentally commanded the figures to depart. Immediately these disappeared and the luminous yellow circle floated slowly out the window. The room became absolutely dark again. The witness stood up and rushed to the window feeling some regret that the figures had left and she yelled out for them to return in despair, thinking that she had lost a unique chance in her life to communicate with extraterrestrial beings. Later that night as she attempted to sleep she heard and “felt” a large figure enter her room and stand over her. She felt completely paralyzed and was unable to move and couldn’t open her eyes from fear. Again she panicked and mentally commanded the alien to leave. The next morning she learned from neighbors that a red luminous object had been seen hovering over the area. She then understood that the three aliens who had entered her room had come in peace and she regretted not contacting them. (58)

I feel that I just presented a fair number of bizarre cases from October now we move into November indeed a critical month during the world changing events of the time, the encounters did not slow down and high strangeness continued unrelenting. The first case again involves military personnel, in this case a militia captain:

Location. Voronok, Szelkovo area, Moscow region, Russia
Date: November 1989 Time: evening
A militia captain named Yuriy Mishichev was returning home from duty on the road along the banks of the River Klyazma which was covered with a thin layer of ice at the time. Suddenly he saw two silhouettes standing near the water rescue cabin. The “men” seemed to be doing something in a haste, which alarmed Yuriy and he was compelled to approach them. He noticed that the two suspicious subjects were dressed in tight-fitting diver suits. The material of the suits looked unusual, it was a transparent material which reminded the witness of the thin latex used in condoms, and lacked any visible seams. The aliens wore masks on the face area with elongated bulging goggles reminiscent of insects. Yuriy knew the guys from the station and thought that they were testing some kind of new foreign equipment for diving and rescue. So he approached the “divers” and with a smile offer to help. There was no reply. Mishichev then thought since a military space-tracking center was located beyond the river, he surmised that the divers were somehow connected with the Army or maybe they were spies. He approached closer and told the strangers to remove their masks, explaining his request by gesture also, stretching his hand towards one of the strangers. In response one of the men moved his hand away with his palm; at this point Mishichev realized that the “man” had a six digit hand. Finally he realized that the strangers were either military or divers and he decided to arrest them (!) and took one of them by the elbow. The touch on the alien’s body felt very cold while the witness ordered the stranger to follow him. He pulled the alien by the elbow forcing him to take a step towards the rescue cabin, but the alien stopped refusing to walk any further. The alien did not struggle or tried to break loose he just stood still as the witness’s suddenly felt heavy and was unable to walk. His brain felt numb and his body felt like it weighed a ton of lead. Overcoming that terrible torpid state attempting to push and pull the alien, but was unable to maintain the struggle for a long time. His eyelids became heavy, his elbows bended and he fell to the ground like a heavy sack of potatoes. Later he woke up but the aliens had vanished. Two days after the incident the witness heard that there had been a UFO landing at a runway at the nearby Chkalovskiy Air Base. (59)

The next case involves a decidedly anomalous entity apparently “Cyclopean” in nature and is from another soon to be troubled region “Dagestan”:

Location. Leninkent, Dagestan, Russia
Date: November 1989 Time: night
Two hunters on motorcycles and armed with rifles were looking for hares (rabbits) in an isolated area and soon came upon the tracks of a hare and began chasing it. Suddenly the hare froze in place seemingly hitting an invisible barrier. The surprised hunters watched in amazement. Suddenly the engine of their motorcycle stopped and standing two meters from them in the brush the men noticed a giant, one-eyed (Cyclopean) hairy entity. The strange creature had a single green eye in the middle of its forehead, which emanated light. The light seemed to hypnotize both men. Numb with horror the men remain staring at the creature, unable to move. The giant quietly looked at the hunters and in a few minutes walked into the forest, with no gestures or any attempts to communicate. According to the witnesses the entity did not run it just sort of seemed to vanish in plain sight. The terrified hunters wanted to leave the area but could not start their motorcycle engine. Later at home one of the men discovered that one of the cylinders on the motorcycle was inexplicably broken. Afterwards the men refused to hunt in the area for at least 2 months. (60)

The next November case is one of the few of the wave besides Voronezh and a few selects others that was widely published in the west:

Location. Archangelsk Region Russia
Date: November 1 1989 Time: midnight
Two men driving a truck along an unpaved road near the Emtsa railway station close to Plesetsk suddenly came upon a huge metallic object that was half blocking the road. The truck engine stalled as they approached the object but the battery operated headlights remaining on. One of the men attempted to approach the craft on foot but was unable to make any substantial progress as the craft appeared to be surrounded by an invisible force field. The craft was described as disc shaped with a large central dome. Along its perimeter there were dark round holes and a rectangular door like opening at one end. The craft rested on several metallic strut-like supports. As the witness stood looking at the dark object, several bright points of light became visible in front of him, forming some type of red screen that was suspended in mid-air. Within the screen a message became visible and it stated, “They needed fire.” The witness proceeded to make a small fire with some leaves and matches near the object. He looked up to see an opening become visible. Inside a corridor that led within the object could be seen, at the end of the corridor a blinking blue light was visible. Suddenly a dark indescribable figure resembling a featureless sack slid out of the opening, rolled over to the fire, took a box of matches then rolled back inside the craft. The witness then felt an urge to go inside the object and did so. Apparently the force field had been removed from around the craft. Inside he followed the corridor that led him to what appeared to be a command console, with computer screens and a single chair. He received numerous telepathic messages but did not see any other occupants or entities. He eventually exited the object, which rotated and shot up into the sky quickly disappearing from sight. (61)

The next case involved a deputy commander at a strategic missile site and it occurred on the same day that the Berlin Wall began to be dismantled:

Location. Krasnoyarsk, Russia
Date: November 6-7 1989 Time: 2354
Captain Alexander Kovylkov was appointed deputy commander of a strategic missile position near Krasnoyarsk. The garrison was located about 20-25 kilometers from the main launch pad. He was on duty at night and late at night he went to check on the posts. A huge moon shone overhead as Kovylkov, neatly attired in winter hat, greatcoat, waist belt, holster with gun, and high boots with special leather heels he had specially made for him. Suddenly at about 70 meters ahead of him he noticed three dark silhouettes. His first thought was maybe escaped prisoners (from where?). But he noticed that the figures were disproportionably built and about 2 to 2.2 meters in height. They were dressed in tight-fitting suits of a shiny gray-green material, similar to the material used in the military anti-chemical protective suits. He yelled, “Who is there?” And he grabbed his holster, in response he heard a hissing sound and felt a powerful electric charge strike his chest, he then lost consciousness. His next memory was not to clear; he felt his body being transported through a huge curving pipe, similar to a vacuum cleaner. He was then placed in a kind of examination table face down, in the middle of a round, dome shaped room. Three aliens are in the room, 2 are males, very tall and with very broad shoulders. They appear to have no necks as their heads seemed to be placed directly into their shoulders. Their hands are disproportionably long, their long narrow fingers reaching the knees. The third alien was apparently female, the small breast-like protrusions visible in her chest. This third alien was also athletic built like her companions. They had huge eyes that covered half their faces, narrow pale lips. Several small openings instead of a nose, resembling a small colander, they stood at the head of their bed. One of the aliens had opened Kovylkov’s cranium (he felt no pain), while another alien inserted 3 thin pins into his brain with red pulsating tips. Alexander screamed and lost consciousness again. He came to again after he felt someone slapping his face. He opened his eyes and found himself sitting at a table. The sergeant on duty, Mamedov, was yelling at him asking him if he was alive. It was 0008A, 12 minutes had passed. The soldier explained to him that he was found unconscious near the table. The commander of the unit came running into the room. He had seen the taiga bathed in a blood-red light and next he saw a bright star-like object ascending at high speed into the sky. Kovylkov explained what happened and several soldiers using flashlights began searching the woods. Another curious fact soon came to light; Kovylkov famous heels were missing, after following his footprints, his heels were again found but the copper nails connecting the heels with the sole were missing. It appears that a year after the incident when a doctor attempted to X-ray his head the film will not developed and it was spoiled three times in a row. (62)

Reports kept pouring in, unfortunately too many to include all, next we have a typical example of a “bedroom visitation” during the 1989 wave in the former Soviet Union:

Location. Novgorod, Russia
Date: middle of November 1989 Time: 2300
The witness, 23-year old Tatiana was sleeping when suddenly she woke up to see the ceiling light switched on and immediately had the impression that there was someone else in the room with her. She opened her eyes and was amazed that at the edge of her bed sat a “young man”. He was very tall, somewhere around 2meters. He appeared to be about 25-26 years of age. The man’s face was unnaturally beautiful, very kind in appearance with skin of an unusual peach tint. He also had a high forehead and radiant blue eyes, his eyebrows formed into an arc, his nose straight and small. He had short light brown hair, neatly combed. The man wore a suit of a light brilliant fabric without any buttons or fasteners. His chest was wide. And his strong athletic body was visible under his suit. He was sitting half turned looking at Tatiana. She did not feel fright or alarm and stared at the stranger for about 10 minutes. She even moved up a little to obtain a better look at the intruder. She felt good feeling or vibrations emanating from the stranger. She then apparently fell asleep and around 0500A was awakened by her mother who asked her why she hadn’t switched off the ceiling light. Tatiana noticed that soon after the incident a head cold which had been lingering completely vanished. (She would have another encounter with a different humanoid in April 1990) (63)

The next case involved more military witnesses and again from Hungary:

Location. Tarnaszentmaria Hungary
Date: November 20 1989 Time: night
Several soldiers at the local army barracks noticed a curious mist in the sky with lights inside. Moments later a Saturn-shaped object flew overhead disappearing towards the forest. A powerful beam of light that made them sick briefly illuminated two of the guards. Later that same night another soldier reported seeing several 10-foot tall white colored figures in a forest clearing facing the barracks. The figures seemed to move in slow motion. All the animals in the area became frantic. The soldier approached the creature and attempted to discharge his weapon but he suddenly became paralyzed and was unable to move for several minutes. Suddenly the creatures disappeared in a flash of red light. (64)

Next is a case from one of the remotest ‘Socialist estates’ of the former Soviet Union, we are talking about Turkmenistan and it involves very curious details indeed:

Location. Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
Date: November or December 1989 Time: night
A 6-year old girl, Tanya Kuzina claimed to have been visited by extraterrestrials one night. In the morning she told her 30-year old mother, Mrs. Natalya Kuzina. According to Tanya, several humanoid male aliens somehow entered her bedroom. They all wore large transparent helmets on their heads that came down to their shoulders. Metallic antennas, resembling small horns, were visible on the helmets. The men told the girl “Let's be friends”. Frightened, Tanya asked the men who they were. They told her that they were from another world and then departed. Her mother did not believe her story. However several days later according to Tanya the strange “men” returned. The visitors further explained to Tanya that they lived in another more beautiful world, which was very pleasant in nature. Tanya then asked if they had trees in their world and the aliens said that their trees resembled large “cucumbers”. “What do you have there besides that” asked Tanya. The aliens then explained that they had special apparatuses, which they used to “puncture holes between worlds” (to travel?). They said that their world was parallel to that of earth. They told the uncomprehending young girl that once they puncture a hole, the space “converts” into something akin to a gravitational collapse. The aliens pointed out to Tanya that she was a good girl and had the necessary “resonant frequencies”. She was then asked if she wanted to visit their ship, she said yes and in a moment she appeared inside their spacecraft. The men pointed to a console with numerous buttons and asked Tanya if she wanted to press a button (!) she agreed and was told to press a certain button but not to touch the other ones. She was told that the other buttons were responsible for the temporal shift and “converting space.” The aliens also said that there were very few people on earth that they could communicate with and that Tanya was one of them, the reason given was that she was “underdeveloped”. That she had rare “atavism” in her body. The aliens explained to Tanya that atavism was contained in her head as a “third eye”. Finally the aliens told Tanya that they would eventually take her with them when she became an adult. (65)

The “procession of the damned” (as Charles Fort was known to say) continued well into December, our next location is again Hungary:

Location. Simonfa, Hungary
Date: December 1989 Time: evening
J. Varga was walking his dogs through a forest path when he was suddenly approached by two separate groups of six short entities, about 120cm in height, with black eyes, and walking single file. Strangely each group seemed to have been led by a 2 meter tall humanoid entity with what appeared to be antennae like protrusions on the head. Varga stopped and let his dog go who immediately ran towards the humanoids; however the dog suddenly stopped and ran back obviously terrified and dropped to the ground. Distracted by the plight of his dog Varga did not see how the humanoids disappeared or in which direction they left. (66)

Next, the ‘procession’ paid a brief visit to the Ukraine:

Location. Ozirshchina, Kiev, Ukraine
Date: December 2 1989 Time: 1700
Two men strolling near a small frozen man-made lake came upon an open space and saw a disc shaped object on the lake. Three to four small humanoids with bronzed brown faces were walking around and near the object. The beings wore shiny silvery outfits with large “snow boots”, they had well proportioned bodies. The craft was metallic and murky gray in color. As the witnesses watched, the humanoids apparently noticed them and suddenly vanished. The disc then rose to treetop level and also vanished. An oval shaped mark ringed by something yellowish in color was found on the ice, also footprints were evident. (67)

The next two cases are from Bulgaria and one of the witnesses was again a military man, in his case a ‘tank commander’:

Location. Blankya Bulgaria
Date: December 17 1989 Time: 04:50 a.m.
Just previous to this encounter, residents of this town close to the Bulgarian Capital Sofia reported observing pear-shaped UFOs. The UFOs reportedly flew close to the government offices. On this morning Mrs. Zinoviya Yankova, a Bulgarian TV producer awoke in her recreational retreat room when an unusually soft pinkish light lighted it. She stood up, went to the balcony and noticed a brightly lit UFO over the nearby village of Mchailovo and a Government residence. It was fish shaped, without a tail, with two inclined antennas pointing down. There was an eerie silence in the area. At this point she heard a clicking sound resembling that of galloping horse’s hooves. She looked down and on the snowy street she saw 3, two-meter tall humanoid figures, as measured by the nearby telegraph pole. One of the figures was wearing gray overalls and smooth “masks” hid their faces. Their arms were long, hanging below the knees and seemed to directly come out of the waist. They walked without bending their knees. The feet were not visible. The second figure was completely black in color. Both aliens were marching in synchronicity almost like marching soldiers. They vanished behind a nearby building. (68)

Location. Blankya, near Sofia Bulgaria
Date: December 17 1989 Time: early morning
That same morning, Colonel Gancho Ivanov, commander of a tank brigade, was awakened by a loud sound. He went out of his room and noticed a fish shaped UFO in the west flying towards the south. The object flew at about 50-60 meters above some buildings, descending, leaving a trail of bluish lights. The object was silver in color, resembling “old white bronze”. The object landed sharply approximately 200 meters from the sanatorium near the Government residences. 15-20 seconds after that, a hatch opened and 3 “pilots” stepped out of the craft. The figures started walking towards the city center. All 3 were more than 3 meters in height. According to the witness, the alien in the center was talking to his companions walking to the right and left of him. They were dressed in soft silver suits, and high boots. They walked awkwardly, stepping heavy “like horses” raising their legs sharply up and down, like soldiers in a parade. The giant in the middle was apparently the leader; he was wearing something like a bag suspended by straps around his neck. They walked by 2 telegraph poles, briefly stopped and then began walking back. As they approached the craft, the hatch opened again and the giants “plunged” inside, the hatch closed and a flame appeared below the craft, which began silently zooming up. After gaining certain altitude it flew north and vanished. Later strange tracks (footprints) were found in the snow, about 40cm in diameter. (69)

The next case is also from Eastern Europe but not necessary from an area that was part of the former Soviet Union sphere of influence, this case was from Croatia which was of course part of greater Yugoslavia at the time, and yes changes would be coming to this region also accompanied by death and destruction:

Location. Makarska, Croatia (Yugoslavia)
Date: December 20 1989 Time: night
A group of adults were on the southern slope of a local mountain when they noticed a clearly defined homogeneous reddish ball of light, about 2 kilometers from their location. Curious they approached the location and observed standing in the vicinity of the light a human-like figure wearing a tight fitting silvery coverall and with close-cropped hair. The outline of the figure was very sharp and distinct. The light was the size of a passenger car, emitting a grayish glare from its surface. Suddenly the light began to radiate red and yellow bands of light and moved rapidly towards the witnesses. The witnesses then sped away from the area. (70)

On the same day as the Croatian report there would be a weird encounter in the tiny former Soviet Republic of Moldova:

Location. Chisinau, Moldova (USSR)
Date: December 20 1989 Time: evening
In the highway leading to the airport numerous witnesses observed the flight of a cigar-shaped object, black and shiny. The length of the object was about thirty feet. Before reaching the airport the object suddenly made a left turn and went down on its belly right on the ground. Pensioner, V. K. Kostikov walking around the area at the same time the object landed decided to approach the object for a closer look. A hatch opened and a strange humanoid slightly taller than 1 meter emerged. It spoke to Kostikov in an incomprehensible language, albeit “sweet and melodic”. The strange entity was described as having no visible legs and resembling ‘a snail below the hips’. On the highway a girl riding her bicycle also noticed the strange object and curious also approached the object. According to her, upon seeing her, the ‘alien slug’ left Kostikov alone and moved towards her and also spoke to her in an incomprehensible language. Frightened she ran off. Soon after the bizarre humanoid re-boarded the craft and left the area. (71)

Next I will summarize a series of events said to have taken place in Baku, the capital of another remote Soviet Republic, Azerbaijan:

Location. Baku, Azerbaijan
Date: December 26 1989 Time: 1800
At the very center of the city several children were gathered in the courtyards playing. One of them, Rashad K. was riding in his bicycle when he noticed standing under the arch of a nearby house a strange humanoid, human like, who was white in color, with red eyes with a fox-like snout and a large mouth. Rashad rode from the scene and told his friends what he had seen. As the other children approached the area they spotted the strange figure staring at them. Several of the children gave it chase but it quickly disappeared from sight. Upon returning to the field the children were surprised to see the entity sitting on a bench there, already waiting for them. It was described as about 1.40 to 1.60 meters in height, wearing dark trousers and a brown jacket. His head was covered with sparse hair. The entity seems to call out to children as they began surrounding it. But suddenly the humanoid broke and to a run and appeared to dissolve to nothingness in front of the astonished children. As it moved, its feet did not appear to touch the ground. (72)

Location. Baku Azerbaijan
Date: December 27 1989 Time: evening
In the same area of the previous encounter, several children 10 to 12 years of age saw a head coming from behind the arch, and then the figure appeared, a little girl who attempted to approach the site, suddenly bounced back falling to the ground crying. She described the entity as having glowing eyes, cherry red in color. Later another one of the children threw a stone at the entity; however the stone and the entity disappeared in plain sight. The children noticed that the entity’s hand had only three fingers. (73)

Location. Baku Azerbaijan
Date: December 28 1989 Time: early morning
Unable to sleep because of the previous events, two youngsters, Agaselim and Dima they heard coming from the area of the previous encounter a terrible howling sound, which they said did not belong to either animal or man. They were too afraid to look out the window. Later that same day the entity again appeared in the courtyard, but now it was almost 3 meters in height. Terrified the children watch, as the entity appeared to dissolve into thin air. 30 minutes the entity again appeared but this time in a “reduced” version almost at a normal height. (74)

Location. Baku Azerbaijan
Date: December 30 1989 Time: evening
Children in the area of the courtyard again reported the appearance of a strange entity, which ran along the roofs of the houses. It appeared to have a glowing head this time. One of the children stood near the house and looked up at the entity but was struck by a beam of blue light emanating from the entity, which caused temporarily blindness and his eyes to water. (75)

I will stop with a very curious case (they all seemed to have been very curious) that apparently took place in the capital of Russia, Moscow:

Location. Moscow, Russia
Date: late December 1989 Time: 04:30 a.m.
L. I. Spirindova sat up in bed unable to sleep and looked at her watch, again she tried to sleep but to no avail. Suddenly a flash of light that came in through the window lit up her bedroom. At first she thought it was lighting but did not hear any thunder and now realized that the light appeared to be constant. Curious she walked to the window and watched a disc-shaped object slowly descending to the ground near her building, above the disc there was a cone-shaped plume of glowing lines. The disc then gently touched down behind the houses. As soon as that happened she saw in the garden a large human-like figure flying horizontally above the ground, the figure was wearing a tight-fitting diver’s suit. The figure stopped and floated silently in mid-air, it then suddenly took a vertical position and dropped to the ground. From her bedroom it was no longer visible, so she went to the kitchen, still she could not see it, as she walked back to her bedroom she suddenly saw a tall gray clad figure standing on her balcony. The height of the figure was about 2 ½ meters in height. He stood looking down to the ground from the balcony, and soon the witness realized that there was another entity on the ground below the balcony. Moments later the 2nd figure appeared next to the tall one on the balcony, this figure was shorter, only about 1.5m in height and was wearing a helmet visor. Terrified, the witness backed away towards her bedroom. As she did this the shorter figure suddenly threw her helmet back and the witness saw the face of a young woman, with eyes that radiated warmth, friendliness and intelligence. Immediately a strange feeling came over the witness, who almost convinced herself that she was looking at her daughter (!), even though she realized that was impossible. The female entity stared at her as the witness slowly sat on her bed and then laid back. The witness felt trapped and in a stupor her eyelids were heavy, she froze and fell into a deep sleep. Later when she came to the balcony was empty. Later she read in the newspaper that the same night other witnesses had seen a hovering disc-shaped object about 10-15 miles from her house. (76)

Incredibly this was only the tip of the proverbial “Iceberg” describing what was taken place behind the scenes in this part of the world at the time, especially between 1989 through 1991. Even more incredibly still 1990 surpassed 1989 in the amount of cases and high strange situations in the region and things didn’t really ‘slow’ down until about 1997.Of course perhaps at this point most of these cases would be impossible to verify I leave it to the reader to make their own decision. But it cannot be denied that at the time of profound world changes especially in the region of our planet there appeared that something besides political change was occurring, something behind the scenes perhaps accelerated the incredible sudden changes of the time. The mindset of a whole region was being changed millions began to realize that they were part of a bigger world and Universe that they could ever had imagined. Did UFOs and humanoids play a role on the changes? perhaps we will never know but I would like to think so.
